Efficient Cleaning Video | Lazy Or Genius?

Posted: 01 Feb 2010 06:31 AM PST

This video is very short (just 12-seconds long) and very simple (it’s basically a guy standing still). Yet it manages to be both educational and funny at the same time.

The only question I have after watching it is: Lazy or genius?

I think the guy is a genius, personally. He’s taken an objective look at his job and worked out how to make his life easier and how to use his time more efficiently.

Unfortunately I suspect his bosses wouldn’t be too happy to see how he cleans the glass alongside these moving sidewalks. They’d suggest he’s being lazy and shirking his responsibilities. Which is obviously codswallop, but then bosses aren’t always right, no matter what they might say.

American Idiot Musical Trailer Video | Green Day Album Heads To Broadway Via Grammys

Posted: 01 Feb 2010 01:31 AM PST

Green day are heading to Broadway, with the musical based on their American Idiot album being so well received during its initial run at the Berkeley Repertory Theater in California that it’s deemed ready to hit New York.

American Idiot will open at the St. James Theater on April 20, 2010, but Green Day took it to the 2010 Grammys first, performing 21 Guns with the cast.

Some people have called Green Day sell-outs for this project. But screw those naysayers, as I think this is genius. Too much theater is based on highbrow themes and stories not meant for ordinary people. Snobby, in other words.

What Green Day are doing with American Idiot is bringing good music and a politically motivated story to the stage. Which I think is brilliant. I hope it tours and comes to the U.K., as I’d love to go see it.

Prince and Paris Jackson Speak at Grammy Awards Video | Michael Jackson’s Children Accept His Lifetime Achievement Award

Posted: 31 Jan 2010 11:52 PM PST

The 52nd annual Grammy Awards were a star studded affair, with Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga fighting over the music world's most prized awards. But it was Michael Jackson’s children who stole the show.

Prince and Paris Jackson appeared to accept a posthumous lifetime achievement award for their late father. Barely six months after his death, the duo showed remarkable composure in receiving the award.

You can say what you want about Michael Jackson, and goodness knows many people have. But he seems to have raised at least two wonderfully well-spoken and compassionate kiddies.

Along with his music, that is a great legacy.

Watch Funny Review of James Cameron’s Movie ‘Avatar’ (Video) | RedLetterMedia Is Not Impressed

RedLetterMedia puts on one of those ‘I just can’t stop watching for some reason’ reviews of the late 2009 movie Avatar.

I just went to see Avatar yesterday, believe it or not, so I finally decided to start looking into what the reviews had to say.

Of course, I had to pick a very strange review to start with.

Even though I quite enjoyed the movie – my first 3D movie ever – I can’t say that I really disagree with anything pointed out in this review.

I’m not surprised that people left the movie feeling more depressed. It was a beautiful movie in terms of visual effects, but I felt depressed, too.

Watch 2010 Grammy Award Nominations Recap Video | Top Music Industry Celebrities

Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are all about the girl power at the 2010 Grammy Awards, sharing 23 combined nominations.

Has your favourite been nominated?

Way to go, Beyonce; things just keep going up and up for you, don’t they? Of course, no one should be surprised when she has had such a fantastic year.

I had no idea that there are 109 categories to win in, all up. that must make for a really long awards ceremony! Unless only the ‘main’ category winners get to go up on stage and have a little speech.

I just want to see my favourite – Jason Mraz – come away with a few of those trophies.

Surprising Australian Television Promotional Ad Video | Celebs in Support Group Advertise Network

Posted: 31 Jan 2010 01:15 PM PST

Ordinarily television networks like to present their stars as shiny and sparkly. But Australian channel Ten has decided to do something different this year. In 2010, its celebs are heading to a support group.

This scruffy bunch look a sorry sight as they discuss the ways they cope with the pressures of fame. Neighbours star Margot Robbie is fond of her ukulele, while Talkin’ ’bout Your Generation comedian Josh Thomas seeks refuge in homemade cupcakes.

Of course, not everyone is so disheveled. You didn’t expect Natalie Bassingthwaighte to dress down, did you?

It’s hard to imagine such a bizarre “promo” coming from any of the other channels. I love it!
