‘Super 8′ Movie Trailer Video | Spielberg and J.J. Abrams’ Secret Film Is ‘Cloverfield 2′?

Posted: 07 May 2010 09:41 AM PDT

If you go and see Iron Man 2 this weekend then watch out for the Super 8 trailer. What is Super 8? No one is really sure, as this trailer seems to be the first anyone has even heard of it.

What we do know is it’s a new movie coming from J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg. It’ll be released summer 2011, and appears to be a follow up of sorts to Cloverfield, with the events of a (fictional) covered-up event being exposed.

Steve Spielberg and J.J. Abrams are two of the finest filmmakers to have ever lived. They both seem to inherently know what will work and what won’t work, and what will and won’t look good on screen.

So this film is filling me with excitement, even though we don’t know anything about it and the fact that it’s still over a year away from release. I can’t wait for Super 8.

Homophobic 1950’s Educational Video | ‘A Sickness of The Mind’

Phrases like, “Public restrooms can often be a hangout for the homosexual,” may be jokes today, but they were once widely regarded as fact.

This is an actual video that was shown in classrooms in the 1950’s. With brainwashing like this, it’s pretty easy to understand how an entire generation could become homophobic.

There’s nothing really gay in this entire 10 minute video, but there are quite a lot of innuendos and homophobic comments. In fact, it’s more of a PSA against pedophiles and strangers than anything else. “Riding in the shadow of death,” is a pretty laughable description.

I started watching this video because I thought it might be hilarious in hindsight. However, after a few chuckles I came to sick realization- millions of boys grew up with this hateful PSA in mind and regarded it as the truth.

“Machete” Movie Trailer Video | “Grindhouse” Preview Becomes Reality

Posted: 06 May 2010 02:23 PM PDT

Well here’s a trailer that I, along with millions of movie fans, never thought I’d see. It’s for a little film called Machete, which was hinted at during the Rodriguez/Tarantino project Grindhouse.

That film featured a fake trailer for the flick, which stars Danny Trejo as a Mexican immigrant with murder on his mind. From that preview it seems a star-studded movie has been born.

And boy there are stars, with Jessica Alba, Robert DeNiro, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Lindsay Lohan, and Steven Seagal all joining in the fun.

Of course, like any good exploitation flick this won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but those in on the joke are set to enjoy one wild ride! Machete opens in the US on September 8.

Google Chrome Speed Test Video | Fun Tests Of Web Browser – Potato, Sound, Lightning

Posted: 06 May 2010 01:15 PM PDT

Google Chrome is a Web browser from, yep you guessed it, Google. It’s very good, better than Internet Explorer and Safari, and getting close to even surpassing Firefox.

The one overriding factor with Chrome is how fast it is. Although it hasn’t got the features of some of its rival Web browsers, this does mean that there’s nothing slowing it down, so Chrome loads Web pages very fast.

Google has obviously got sick of trying to tell us how fast Chrome is, so to coincide with its latest release, it decided to show us instead. And the resulting video (embedded above) is genius.

Essentially, Google puts Chrome up against a potato firing into a chipper, sound waves represented by paint jumping to an ear, and lightning hitting a model clipper.

No, it doesn’t really make sense or prove anything, but it’s fun to watch and likely to help promote Chrome beyond technology circles.
