Shocking Police Brutality Video | British Bobby Drags Woman And Slams Her Face Into Floor

Posted: 07 Sep 2010 11:17 AM PDT

It’s not just in the U.S. where the police lose it and go beyond what is considered acceptable behavior. British bobbies are considered polite, helpful, and good at their jobs. So what happened here?

The woman in the video was arrested after being found sleeping in her car and refusing to take a breathalyser test. Taken to the station, she was treated far too harshly for her non-crime.

Dragging her across the floor is one thing, as she was being difficult and refusing to enter the cell, but there is no excuse for slamming her face-first into the floor. Which resulted in her bleeding heavily from the face.

Sure, the woman isn’t an angel, and she should just have completed the breathalyser test. But she hadn’t actually done anything wrong, and even if she had this was completely unacceptable behavior on the part of the policeman involved.

Google Logo Video | Google Balls Mystery

Posted: 07 Sep 2010 06:08 AM PDT

I’m sure most of you will have seen the new Google Doodle today. It’s hard to miss it. But what are the interactive balls/dots all about? No one seems to know.

Google changes its logo on a regular basis, with what are called doodles replacing the boring old logo. These Google doodles usually celebrate or commemorate something; either a momentous event or a big news story.

But today’s one, which is being described as balls or dots depending on who is talking about it, is a mystery. Google isn’t saying what it’s in aid of, and no one else has yet worked it out.

It could be something to do with Google’s 12th birthday, it could be a sign of an upcoming announcement concerning Google Search, or it could be something else entirely.

I’m sure it’ll all become clear eventually, but in the mean time have fun playing with it.

Watch Samsung Galaxy Tab TV Ad Video | iPad’s First True Competitor

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 09:28 PM PDT

It looks like the iPad finally has some really competition with the Samsung Galaxy Tab coming out. Depending on the price, Apple could find itself in strife.

Finally! I have been waiting for another company to take up the call of creating competition for the iPad. In a way that is actually competitive on the market, that is.

Of course, everything takes longer to get to and is more expensive in Australia, but I’d take Samsung over Apple any day.

Amazing Japanese Synchronized Walking Video | Cool Unlikely Spectator Sport

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 03:07 PM PDT

The Japanese are known for their precision. Everything they do, they do with exacting skill. Even, it seems, walking.

This video shows us that even something as simple as getting from point A to point B can be entertaining if it’s done with flair.

OK, so this isn’t a national sport but a project from the boys at Nippon Sport Science University. The regular drill commands are spiced up with seemingly impossible ones, and a few funny ones as well.

They’re impressive now, but just imagine if they banded together to form a personal army! The possibilities are endless!

‘Rock Band’ Video Game In The Future (Video) | Real Instruments & Holograms

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 01:37 PM PDT

We already have hologram technology being developed right now, so a video like this doesn’t actually seem that far-fetched.

Could music games like “Rock Band” eventually turn into learning real instruments? This video gives a hopeful glimpse into the future.

Sure, games like DJ Hero and Guitar Hero simplify music notation so that the average person can catch on in an hour or so, but what about experienced gamers? Eventually, the most advanced Rock Band player will probably get bored and want more of a challange.

So why not let that challenge be an actual real instrument? All we need to do is fully develop a guitar that works for both a video game and by itself.

A Hunter Shoots A Bear Video | Ingenious Tippex Viral Video Advertising Campaign

Posted: 06 Sep 2010 01:04 PM PDT

Old Spice isn’t the only company using viral video in original and unique ways in order to sell product. Tippex has now joined in with a YouTube ad campaign that could keep you entertained for hours (or at least a few minutes).

You may remember a couple of months ago when the Old Spice Guy turned up all over the Web when Old Spice made ads on the fly in response to social networking updates.

Now Tippex has jumped on the bandwagon with its own viral video ad campaign. The video embedded above is merely the starting point, and once you choose whether to shoot or not to shoot the bear the whole thing opens up in a brilliant way.

The best advice I can give you is to experiment. Write whatever you want in the Tippexed space, click ‘Play’ and see what happens. Some of the results are fun, to say the least.
