Predator’s Teenage Son Video | Hunter Killers Have The Same Teen Parenting Problems Posted: 05 Sep 2010 11:22 AM PDT Even the Predator has to deal with the issues that arise when a child reaches their teenage years. Well OK, the problems are slightly different, but they are at least similar.
I haven’t got kids and I’m not keen on ever doing so either. Which hopefully means I’ll never have to deal with a teenage son or daughter. Thank God. This video shows Predator trying to encourage his teenage son to kill the human he’s caught and hung upside down. But the son really isn’t interested, hoping instead to be a world famous pop star. Luckily, in the last part of the video, the dying human has a few words of wisdom. Right before Alien turns up with his teenage son, who isn’t afraid of killing humans. Because he’s cool. |
Summer of ‘42 Trailer Video | 1971 Coming Of Age Drama Starring Jennifer O’Neill Posted: 05 Sep 2010 06:15 AM PDT Summer of ‘42 is a 1971 sentimental coming-of-age drama which is very reminiscent of a certain time in all our lives. Not 1942, obviously, but that time when we start noticing people in sexual way.
The film, directed by Robert Mulligan based on the screenplay by Herman Raucher, stars Jennifer O’Neill as a married woman staying on an island retreat while her husband is away fighting in World War II. Gary Grimes plays a teenage boy who, along with his friends, is seeking to lose his virginity. Without revealing the entire plot, the death of O’Neill’s character’s husband in the war leads to the main plotline. In terms of cinematography and film quality, Summer of ‘42 hasn’t really stood the test of time. But the story is still compelling and should remind us all of a certain time when we were young. Before we lost our innocence. |
Disney’s ‘Camp Rock 2′ Trailer (Video) | Demi Lovato and Jonas Bros Still Garbage Posted: 04 Sep 2010 05:16 PM PDT Yesterday the movie Camp Rock 2 aired on cable and drew in 8 million viewers- making it the 7th most-watched Disney Channel Original of all-time. You can view the trailer for it above, but I must warn you that you might have the urge to punch your screen due to the excessive amount of Disney. If you can’t get enough of stereotypical characters, cute teens that can’t act, and over-produced music then be sure to catch the re-runs all this week. |
“Beautiful Boy” Movie Trailer Video | Family Drama Emerges as Oscars Contender Posted: 04 Sep 2010 05:10 PM PDT With the start of the cinema festival season we’re about to see the films that will take out the Oscars at next year’s awards. The first genuine contender to emerge is Beautiful Boy, a touching family drama directed by Shawn Ku. The trailer does make me a little nervous, as it seems to resort of sentimentalism and melodrama, but I think there’s real potential here. If executed as well as its hype suggests, we may be looking at a major award winner. |
Brilliant MysteryGuitarMan Remix Video | Mike Relm Remixes Stop Motion YouTube Star Posted: 04 Sep 2010 12:11 PM PDT When MysteryGuitarMan met Mike Relm the result was magic. And a nice cross-promotion for two YouTube phenomenons.
You may have heard of MysteryGuitarMan. He’s something of a YouTube star for his videos, many of which show him using musical instruments in various inventive ways. My favorite video of his is The Marriage of Figaro, which uses stop motion animation to create something stunning, original, and very entertaining. Mike Relm is a DJ, VJ, and turntablist who has also built a presence on the video site. This video shows what happens when MysteryGuitarMan met Mike Relm. Basically, it’s a remix containing some of the former’s best bits, all edited in a way I imagine took lots of work to complete. |
