iOS 4 Demonstration Video | Updated Apple iPhone & iPod Touch Operating System Posted: 21 Jun 2010 10:21 AM PDT The latest version of the iPhone and iPod Touch operating system is expected to arrive today (June 21). This video shows someone demonstrating iOS 4 on their iPhone. It’s been over a year since iPhone OS 3.0 was released, so iOS (its new name) is overdue. iOS 4 is a free upgrade.
iOS 4 may be free, but it does have certain requirements attached to it. Most importantly, it’s only available to owners of the iPhone 3G and 3GS, and/or second-generation and third-generation iPod Touches. If your phone or iPod is older than that then you’re not invited to the party. You must also have iTunes 9.2 installed. Later this week, the iPhone 4, with iOS 4 pre-installed is set to go on sale. And I’m sure many of you Apple fanboys will be upgrading. But for those who aren’t, iOS 4 at least means a partial upgrade to your hardware. |
Powerful Anti Death Penalty Amnesty International Advertisement Video Posted: 20 Jun 2010 05:21 PM PDT The death penalty remains one of the most divisive issues in modern times. I’m proud to live in a country that prefers rehabilitation to this barbaric practice, but I know many disagree with me. Whichever side of the issue you fall, it's impossible to remain unmoved by this powerful advertisement from Amnesty International. Powerful without being preachy, this moving commercial is one of the strongest advertisements I’ve seen in some time. |
National Mustache Competition Video | Larry McClure Is The First Mustache Champion Posted: 20 Jun 2010 02:50 PM PDT I never imagined the ability to grow a beard or mustache and nurture it into a weird and wonderful style would qualify someone to be called a champion. But it does, apparently. The man in the video, Larry McClure, is the first winner of the National Mustache Competition in the U.S. I can certainly see how he won with that monster growth.
Mustaches are strange things. They either suit someone’s face or they don’t. I often sport a beard of varying lengths, and I’ve also been known to have a goatee. But if I go any further and just leave the mustache, I look like a weirdo with an unhealthy interest in children. McClure, though, doesn’t. In fact, his mustache suits him to the point at which I can’t imagine what he’d look like without it. Probably like a weirdo with an unhealthy interest in children. |
