Old Navy $1 Flip Flip Sale (Video) | No Coupons Needed Posted: 22 May 2010 08:48 AM PDT It’s Black Friday all over again at Old Navy this weekend. Starting tomorrow at 7:30 AM, stores will open selling flip flops for only $1! Just to get an idea of how crazy this sale might be, check out this video of a store in Arkansas last year that had a football-field sized wait. The sale is said to be even bigger this year. Sure, if you buy 5 pairs, you’re saving about $12.50- but what about all the pain and suffering? |
Pacman On Google Homepage Video | Play Classic Namco Arcade Game Online For Free Posted: 22 May 2010 07:40 AM PDT Pacman, the classic arcade game from Namco, is now 30-years-old. To celebrate, Google changed its logo into a special version of the game. And it’s fully playable right from within your web browser. This video shows someone playing Google Pacman. And not doing too bad a job of it either.
Google is forever changing its logo, with what have come to be known as Google Doodles. But Pacman is the first playable one, the others having all been images which, when clicked, take you to a page explaining the significance of the person, object, or day in question. I played Pacman on Google on and off yesterday, and will be doing so again today. Which makes me wonder how many hours were wasted in offices by people choosing a 30-year-old arcade game over any real work. |
Freddy Krueger Auditions for Sex and the City 2 Video Posted: 21 May 2010 07:55 PM PDT We all know Freddy Krueger is making a comeback in the latest reinvention of Nightmare on Elm Street. But I’ll bet you didn't know the horror villain is happy to take any work he can get. Here we catch him trying out for Sex and the City 2, just before he skips off to audition for iCarly. Chick flicks might not be his forte, but I wish him good luck for other roles! |
Lost In 108 Seconds Video | Show Catch Up Posted: 21 May 2010 12:47 PM PDT In case you’re not aware, Lost is coming to an end this weekend. After six seasons of twists, turns, and utterly confusing plot points, we’re set to find out the truth. In which case, you may need to catch up with what has already happened, which is what this video enables you to do. It’s (almost) the whole of Lost explained in the space of 108 seconds.
I’m really hoping for a satisfying ending to Lost. If it all turns out to have been a dream then I’ll feel like I’ve wasted the last six years watching a show without a point. Then again, has any show actually been concluded in a way that has pleased everybody? The Sopranos split the audience in two, and I’m guessing Lost will do the same. Expect debates galore to be had all over the Web come Monday morning. |
