The World’s Most Dangerous Drug (Video) | Scopolamine (aka Burundanga) Documentary Posted: 07 Apr 2010 11:44 AM PDT Besides cocaine, Colombians have a new drug problem on their hands. It’s called scopolamine (nicknamed “the devil’s breath”) and is supposedly 100x more powerful than your typical ‘date rape’ drug. When under scopolamine, victims become human puppets willing to give up personal and financial information. As one dealer states, “You wait a minute and when you see [it] kick in, you know you own that person.” With statistics like “one in five emergency room admissions for poisoning in Bogotá have been attributed to scopolamine” we should all be very concerned about this “devil’s breath” before it’s too late. The saying “there are worse things than death” definitely applies to this drug. Part 2 |
Apple iPad – Will It Blend? Video | Will Giant iPod Touch Tablet Survive Tom Dickinson? Posted: 07 Apr 2010 08:42 AM PDT The iPad has now been released into the wild, and Apple fanboys across the U.S. have snapped up the new tablet devices as though they’re going to become extinct. There have been lots of reviews published, most of which have been positive. But the big question surely on everyone’s lips is, Will It Blend? Well, will it?
The answer is categorically yes. An Apple iPad can indeed be blended, at least when Tom Dickinson and the BlendTec crew are given the assignment. I wouldn’t advise blending an iPad at home though. Not only would it be a pointless and expensive exercise, but iPad dust really can’t be very good for you. Dickinson is a professional though, so he can cope with it. Oh, and he’s an android, which also helps. Don’t believe me? Just look at that cheesy grin – that’s definitely not human. |
Reba McEntire On Dancing With The Stars Video | Reba Sings ‘Consider Me Gone’ Posted: 07 Apr 2010 02:41 AM PDT I admit I’m not a fan of Dancing With The Stars. I’m sorry but I just don’t understand the appeal of ballroom dancing, let alone watching D-List celebrities try their hand at it. I also dislike most country music, with only a few songs here and there piquing my interest. None of which are by Reba McEntire. So this video is a spectacular amount of fail for me personally.
Then again, I understand that there are millions of people out there who love both DWTS and Reba, so who am I to prevent them watching McEntire perform Consider Me Gone on the show as a couple of people frolic on the dance floor? To be fair, I rather enjoyed it in the end. The song isn’t bad, and the dancers can at least dance, unlike Buzz Aldrin, who was eliminated from the contest this week. And I bet he’s gutted about it. After all, it’s not like he’s a famous astronaut who’ll be remembered forever for walking on the moon or anything. |
Watch Stephen Fry & Bill Bailey on Graham Norton Show Vid | Funny Tweets on Twitter Posted: 07 Apr 2010 01:33 AM PDT Love Stephen Fry. Love Bill Bailey. Love Graham Norton. Love making fun of Twitter. This video is like an audio visual cheesecake for my mind. Yummy. I think the thing I love most about Stephen Fry is that he’s so intelligent and so passionate about causes, but he is still able to be a comedian and laugh at himself. What he said about people spouting angry drivel on the internet is absolutely true, but he can enjoy a good laugh about the strange world of Twitter. I’m on Twitter and, after seeing this clip, it’s become horribly obvious to me that I am boring! Must remedy that. |
Unreleased Chris Rock Comedy Skit (Video) | Racist Outkast “Hey Ya” Parody Posted: 06 Apr 2010 09:05 PM PDT This 6 year-old parody of Outkast’s “Hey Ya” was never released until recently. My guess as to why now probably has to do with the fact that “crackers” might get mad at some of the lyrics. It reminds me a lot of some Chappelle Show skits- offensive, insightful, and hilarious. Chris Rock has always been great at coming up with funny skits and songs and this will clearly go down as one of his gems. It’s times like these when I really miss The Chris Rock Show. |
Solo Duet of “Endless Love” on “Pilipinas Got Talent” Video | Reggie Ramirez Has Twice the Talent Posted: 06 Apr 2010 03:36 PM PDT He’s not quite Susan Boyle, but Reggie Ramirez still wowed the judges when he stepped onto the Pilipinas Got Talent stage. This 34-year-old showed he has twice the talent with his offbeat version of “Endless Love.” We saw Nick Pitera try something similar, but the “costume” adds a whole other element to this performance. Honestly neither voice would see him take out American Idol, but on sheer novelty value Reggie’s got the goods! |
