Naughty By Nature Music Video | ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ As Seen On MTV’s ‘The Buried Life’ Posted: 09 Mar 2010 07:53 AM PST The Buried Life is an MTV show which follows a group of lads around the world as they both attempt to complete their list of ‘100 things to do before you die’ and help other people mark things off their own lists. The season finale of the show was titled Throw a Badass Party and did exactly what it said on the tin. The lads throw a party in a town they’ve never visited before, and get Naughty By Nature to turn up and perform Hip Hop Hooray.
This is the original music video for Hip Hop Hooray, because the short clips of the show left me wanting to hear the full song, and I guessed I wouldn’t be alone on that score. Naughty By Nature were huge at one point, with this track and OPP being massive hits in the early-1990s. Believe it or not, they’re still together, writing, recording, and performing their music. |
Watch Crazy Melbourne Hail Storm Turn Into Flood Video | Wild Weather! Posted: 08 Mar 2010 04:18 PM PST Melbourne is well known for giving the experience of all four seasons in one day. But even by Melbourne standards, we have been having some pretty wild weather over the past few days. With a radar screen covered in blue on show and dark clouds covering the sky outside, my husband and I put on our sweaters and enjoyed a day in the flat. However, many Melbournites got caught out in the city and got to see some of the real action with golf ball sized hail, wind gusts and flooding like you see in the video. The beauty of it is that it’s not over yet… |
Watch Sugar Daddy For Me Matchmaking Website Video | Looking for Love & Loot Posted: 08 Mar 2010 03:49 PM PST The Sugar Daddy for Me website matches up rich men with beautiful women who like to be pampered. This segment features a success story (marriage) interview. I met my husband online, so I think online romance can be truly genuine, make it and translate well into the physical world. So while I have to chuckle at this website idea, I can’t really judge it. They know what they want and they are advertising online for it. What’s wrong with that? Think what you will of the behaviors and mentality of those involved, but they are still being honest about who they are (most of the time – there are exceptions). Kudos to them. |
John Hughes Tribute Academy Awards Video | Brat Pack Stars Reunite to Honor Director Oscars Posted: 08 Mar 2010 02:54 PM PST
We were reminded with a montage of his films, and we were reminded as the stars of his films joined together to share their memories of Hughes. How amazing to think that if not for Hughes, we may never have heard of Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick, or Judd Nelson. As we celebrate gritty dramas like The Hurt Locker and Precious and big budget spectaculars like Avatar, it is refreshing to remember a time when heartfelt writing about everyday issues touched millions. |
Doritos Tablet Video | Apple iPad Spoof Posted: 08 Mar 2010 11:53 AM PST You’ve no doubt heard of the Apple iPad by now. How could you not have? It’s been all over the Web after all. The iPad is just the first of many tablet computers heading our way which are intended to fill the niche between smartphones and notebooks. Do we need that niche filling? The jury is still out on that one. If we do, then maybe other products need to vary their sizes a little also. Like chips (crisps) for instance.
Doritos has the right idea, endeavoring to introduce a new, super-sized version of their classic and much-loved chip. It’s larger, more versatile, and can be shared by more than one person. It’s the Doritos Tablet! This is obviously a spoof but while watching it I couldn’t help wonder how good a Dorito that big would taste. I want one, and I want one now. It would probably kill me with its fat and salt content, sure, but what a way to go out. |
