Funny Snowboarder Crash Video | Crash Into Fence, Have Friends Laugh At Your Expense Posted: 27 Aug 2010 11:49 AM PDT I’ve never tried snowboarding. Like I’ve never tried skiing, or any winter sports apart from from sledging when I was a kid. And every video I see of people crashing in the snow makes me less likely to ever try these things.
This crash isn’t actually all that bad. It’s not like the guy ended up flying hundreds of feet through the air, landed on his head, and kept rolling down the mountainside like a rag doll. But still. After a short slide downhill, the guy takes off from a small, and poorly-built, ramp. His aim is clearly to launch well over the short fence that’s sitting just in front of the ramp. Unfortunately, that plan doesn’t quite work. Instead, the guy slams into the fence, hitting the only obstacle for miles around. Unlucky or just plain stupid? I’d go for the latter, because the simple way of avoiding the fence would have been to not bother building the ramp in the first place. |
Watch Funny Naked Hay Baling Video | Drunk or Just Stupid? Posted: 27 Aug 2010 08:02 AM PDT Sometimes, with some videos, you just can’t make yourself look away. Someone please tell me this isn’t real and that if someone actually did this, they would be injured. Please? As one of the commentors from the original posting said – it’s like watching a strange, drunk Spongebob Squarepants running around at the end. Strangely disturbing, and yet I couldn’t resist cracking up a little bit. It is amusing to watch idiots at play. At this point, while the either drunk or just plain stupid person is running around encased in a hay bale, I am wondering where the tractor is getting off to… |
The Last Exorcism Movie Review | New Horror Movie From Eli Roth & Daniel Stamm Posted: 27 Aug 2010 05:43 AM PDT There’s always a fine line with horror movies; a fine line between being really damn scary and being cheesy and unbelievable. Has The Last Exorcism, a new horror movie from producer Eli Roth (Hostel) and director Daniel Stamm, stayed the right side of the line?
The Last Exorcism follows the same style as employed by The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. So the whole thing is shot by handheld camera in a documentary style as if it’s all real. This sometimes works, upping the scare levels, and sometimes doesn’t. On this occasion it looks to have been a good idea as The Last Exorcism is gaining good reviews for being very scary. The Last Exorcism is one to avoid if you’re not a fan of being scared out of your wits. I like the odd scare but I definitely draw the line at the point that the film starts replaying itself in my head when I’m asleep. |
Watch Official ‘Inside Job’ Dark Wall Street Documentary Film Trailer Video Posted: 26 Aug 2010 07:51 PM PDT Directed by Charles Ferguson and narrated by Matt Damon, Inside Job is a documentary film that takes a closer look at what – and who – brought about the financial crisis. And how it could have been avoided. Inside Job seeks to provide what many people are still searching for: a real and comprehensive look at all the causes surrounding the global financial crisis. From politicians to academics, this film begins to paint a picture of corruption, gambling and plain greed. No doubt, many of the main players were hoping that everything would be swept under the carpet along with a mass of stock market gibberish. Tough luck. |
Watch The Young Turks Cenk Uyger on Glenn Beck’s MLK Rally Video Posted: 26 Aug 2010 07:34 PM PDT Cenk Uyger of The Young Turks isn’t impressed with Glenn Beck’s recent announcement about taking to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for a rally on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. Predicting that at least 100,000 people will show up, Beck hopes that his move will help restore some honor to America. ‘Reclaiming the civil rights movement’ probably isn’t the right way to say what he’s after – or plenty of people are taking it the wrong way – but it certainly has people talking. The interesting part that has political journalists talking is that there will not be one single Republican there. |
Wacky Danish Rabbit Jumping Competition Video | Crazy, But Kind of Impressive Posted: 26 Aug 2010 03:10 PM PDT I’ve seen a few rabbit shows in my time, but none quite like this show in Denmark. Rather than focusing on the most beautiful bunny, this comp puts their jumping skills to the test. It might seem like you don’t need to watch all three minutes and 40 seconds of this video, but make sure you don’t turn it off before the long jump. ‘'m not sure I could jump as far as this sporty little rabbit does! This is definitely a video that combines sweetness and skills. |
Asian Carp Jumping Video | Strange Behavior On Wabash River, Montezuma, Indianapolis Posted: 26 Aug 2010 02:07 PM PDT I’ve been known to do some fishing in my time. Well, angling, to be exact, as I’ve always placed the fish back in the water, partaking for sport rather than for food or profit. However, I’ve never experienced this while fishing, which is hundreds of fish jumping out of the water in the wake of a boat. Is this normal? Because it’s not something I’ve ever even heard of.
The fish in question are Asian or Silver Carp, and they are either really happy to see the boat or are sick of living in the water. Most of the fish leap out once the boat has passed, but one actually jumps in to the boat. Some people regard fishing as a cruel sport, and it obviously can be. However, when the fish start jumping into the boat without actually being caught on the end of a rod cruelty clearly doesn’t come into it. |
