| Bret Michaels On American Idol Video | Ill Singer Appears With Casey James In Final Posted: 27 May 2010 12:09 PM PDT Bret Michaels appeared in the final of American Idol last night, just a month after almost dying. Brave, or stupid?
Bret Michaels hasn’t had a good time of it lately. The former lead singer of Poison was last month hospitalized after suffering a potentially fatal brain hemorrhage. He’s also suffered a stroke, and is set to have an operation to fix a hole in his heart. Wow. That’s a lot of crap to happen at once. But Michaels hasn’t let it hold him back. He walked on stage during the American Idol final last night, assisting Casey James to sing Every Rose Has Its Thorn. And Michaels didn’t even tell his doctors he was going to appear. Good on him, I guess.      |

But as the other camera angles show, this could have been a fatal disaster had a store owner not seen the kid in time. I’ll I’ve got to wonder is, “Where are the parents?” As the camera shows, one of the people on the escalator is blind, but what about everyone else in the mall? It’s sad, but has our world really become this introverted that we can’t help one another?  |

| Sydney Classical Band Aston Cover Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” Music Video Posted: 26 May 2010 05:21 PM PDT Aston is an Australian classical band with a different. While most groups of their ilk are boning up on Vivaldi and Wagner, this Sydney sextet prefers to take on pop tunes from Rihanna and Kylie Minogue. Here we see these talented musos putting their unique spin on Rihanna’s latest hit “Rude Boy.” But under the capable hands of Aston, it becomes something else, a soaring and intricate ballad that’s really quite beautiful. I can’t wait to see what surprising tune this Sydney group covers next!  |
| Kids Attacking President Obama Video | Because This Obviously Isn’t Scripted Posted: 26 May 2010 01:09 PM PDT This video is essentially a compilation of clips showing kids, some very young indeed, criticizing, attacking, and generally hating on U.S. President Obama and his policies. Madly, some people are taking this video as gospel fact, and using it to prove that Obama is unpopular. Because obviously none of this is scripted or prompted by a right-wing parent standing off camera. Obviously.
Politics blinds some people to the truth. And that is what is happening right now in America. The United States is in trouble, and big, sweeping changes are needed to get the country back on track. But that’s not pleasing those dyed in the wool dinosaurs who want to carry on as normal in the name of capitalism. And they’re now using their kids as tools in the fight against Obama. How desperate is that?  |
