Ghetto iPad Install Video | Apple Tablet Makes Great Addition To Car Dashboard

Posted: 02 May 2010 11:25 AM PDT

It’s the dream of many to pimp out their car with televisions, Blu-ray players, games consoles, and sound systems. But for most it’s a luxury they just cannot afford.

However, the Apple iPad only costs $499, and with a bit of Velcro and imagination, it can be used as an all-in-one multimedia system. OK, so Xzibit may not be impressed, but it does the job.

To properly pimp a car out to the point at which it’s the envy of all your friends and family, it costs a small fortune, sometimes as much as the car itself.

However, the iPad can fill that void, and all for a paltry $499 and whatever a piece of strong Velcro costs these days. Hook the iPad up to your car stereo and et voila, job done.

Just don’t go boasting about it too much, or post a video of your amateur install on YouTube, as it’s not that good. Oh, wait a minute. Oops.

Times Square Bomb Scare Video | New York Tourist Spot Targeted With Car Bomb

Posted: 02 May 2010 07:00 AM PDT

Make no mistake about it, there is still a terrorist threat out there. Luckily, so far most attempts to inflict death and destruction on a big scale have been foiled by watchful authorities.

As is the case with New York’s Times Square, which was at the center of a car bomb scare on Saturday (May 1) evening.

After being alerted by a T-shirt vendor, police found a vehicle packed with propane tanks, fireworks, gasoline and two detonators described as “amateurish.”

The area was evacuated, and no one was hurt. However, that’s only because the homemade bomb failed to work. Authorities claim the detonation had begun but malfunctioned, thankfully.

This is another reminder, if one were needed, to be watchful, especially in big cities around the world. There are, sadly, those out there who want to kill and maim entirely innocent people.

Watch An Emasculating Truth Documentary Film (Vid) | Men No Longer Manly?

Posted: 01 May 2010 11:59 PM PDT

“According to the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, testosterone is declining in American men at the alarming rate of one percent a year. But why?”

In the past decades, women have changed their roles dramatically and redefined themselves in a number of ways.

But what about the men?

It would seem that western culture has largely left manly men behind in favor of the ‘metrosexual’. What does this mean for the definition of what it means to be a man?

I know it is an amateur documentary film and all that is only a half an hour long, but I do wish he would have gotten more into the cultural influences.

Classic ‘Mattel Tommy Burst!’ Gun Ad (Video) | Cool 1950’s Toy Machine Gun

Posted: 01 May 2010 09:57 PM PDT

They just don’t make toys like the used to. It’s hard to believe that you could buy your kids a realistic toy machine gun for $3 at one point in history.

If this toy was produced today it would be illegal to let kids play with it. At least under current US laws.

Since I was a 90’s kid the closest we ever got to playing with real guns were Nerf guns that shot foam darts. The machine gun versions of them were upwards of $60 dollars so my parents couldn’t afford them; reloading the cheaper 4-shot Nerf gun I had was such a pain in the ass.

Now that I see this, I kind of feel like I missed out on a lot more fun. Adjusted for inflation, these guns would be around $30 in the store today.

A Nightmare On Elm Street Review (Video) | Freddy Isn’t Scary In The 2010 Remake

Posted: 01 May 2010 09:47 PM PDT

Michale Bay’s version of A Nightmare on Elm Street came out this weekend after much anticipation and hype. Unfortunately, like most remakes, the new film isn’t pleasing most old fans.

As one critic states in this Spill.com review, “My nightmares are a lot cooler than this bullshit!”

While there are a lot of special effects, fire, and explosions, the story gets dull after some very repetitive kills. Unlike the original Freddy Krueger, the way that the director relies on scaring the audience is through cheap jump-scares and loud screams from inexperienced actors.

The best aspect of the entire movie is the new take on Freddy’s origin and possibly the new cover song. I don’t know about you but I can’t take a horror movie seriously where lines like, “You really shouldn’t fall asleep in class,” are mentioned.

Watch Flash Flooding in Nashville, Tennessee Area News Video | Extreme Danger for Drivers

Posted: 01 May 2010 07:54 PM PDT

Flash flooding in the Nashville area has caught many drivers out in the highway, making some determined drivers plow through.

According to various news reports, either three or five people have been killed in these floods.

To make things even more complicated, there are many tornado warnings in Tennessee (as well as other states).

If you watch the camera, you’ll see the incredibly brave (and perhaps not so smart) drivers plowing through what is already (in some areas) two feet of water.

Don’t think that is much? Take the measuring tape out to your car and then see what you think.

Watch Intimate Gymnastics with Tatiana Kozhevnikova Video | World’s Strongest Vagina

You, too, can have the world’s strongest vagina by using the specifically targeted fitness program by Tatiana Kozhevnikova, the current holder of the title.

This woman certainly takes Kegels to a whole new level…

I understand wanting to tone up your ‘lady muscles’ to make sex nicer and to recover faster after childbirth, but what exactly is the point of being able to lift fourteen kilos with your lady parts?

Sure, it would be interesting to have the distinction of ‘world’s strongest vagina’, but is all that work worth the title alone?

Or maybe it does make sex that much better…

Funny Dead Cat Bounce Musical Comedy Video | Worst Driving Lesson Ever

Posted: 01 May 2010 04:55 PM PDT

Irish lads Dead Cat Bounce take us on the worst driving lesson ever in this hilarious comedy song.

Setting the scene in a playground, Dead Cat Bounce quickly alerts us of the sort of perverse journey we’re in for. The journey quickly descends into some pretty black humor with the help of some big power ballad chords.

The combination of big 80s rock sounds and hilariously off the wall lyrics really work well here. You’re never quite sure which direction Dead Cat Bounce will take you, but you know you want to be taken along for the ride.

Hang on tight and enjoy!

David Cameron Exposed Video | Conservative Leader Merely A Carbon Copy Of Tony Blair

Posted: 01 May 2010 01:25 PM PDT

We’re just a few days away from the General Election in the U.K., and it looks for all the world as though the result will be a hung parliament with top Tory David Cameron the leader of the majority party.

So maybe we should educate ourselves about the man behind the smug and punchable face before we let him govern us.

OK, so this is merely a spoof, and not a serious investigation into David Cameron and his leadership style. But it’s very funny and well-edited, and there is some truth in the fact that Cameron stole Tony Blair’s act.

This sketch is from Armando Iannucci’s Time Trumpet, broadcast all the way back in 2006 when Tony Blair was still Prime Minister. And it’s amazing that it’s still relevant today.

I haven’t actually got it in for Cameron, but he is the current party leader most ripe for a mocking this time around. Gordon Brown is too easy a target, and Nick Clegg seems like a decent guy. Which leaves Cameron open to abuse.
