Obama On ‘The View’ Video | U.S. President Controversially Appears On Daytime Chatshow Posted: 29 Jul 2010 11:51 AM PDT Sitting U.S. President Barack Obama has made an appearance on The View to discuss politics and more. This video shows one brief clip from his interview on the couch.
His appearance is considered controversial because The View is a daytime TV chat show with viewers some people assume won’t be very political. Which is a little patronizing if you ask me. The fact is that The View probably gets a good cross-section of the public watching every day, and many more will have tuned in to see what Obama had to say for himself. Obama covered many subjects on the show, ranging from race, to pop culture, to his family life, and the problems currently facing America and its citizens. I thought it was a solid, if not exactly blinding, performance. |
Cool Shopping Cart Moonwalk (Video) | Is That Michael Jackson At Walmart? Posted: 28 Jul 2010 09:34 PM PDT Maybe there was a sale, or perhaps this guy just loves to dance- either way this little moment would certainly make my day if if this happened at Wal-Mart. The next time I’m shopping I just might have the urge to try it… It’s the little viral videos that tend to get millions of views and remixed to death, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this 9 second clip became the next “keyboard cat.” |
Watch Interesting ‘Introduction to Japan: The Strange Country’ Animated Documentary Video Posted: 28 Jul 2010 08:28 PM PDT From the creator: “This is my final thesis project. My objective is to make Japanese people to think about that everything happening here in Japan, isn’t that normal. So I created this video from foreigner’s point of view, rather than Japanese people’s point of view. By the way, please don’t call me racist, because I am one of short, small eyes Japanese ;P “ This sometimes funny, sometimes morbid view of Japan and its inhabitants is a documentary style animation that is sure to make you look at Japan a bit differently. While this video make for a good overview, I would like to see each category get its own video where things are explored thoroughly. |
Best Football Celebration Video | Icelandic Soccer Team Reel In A Big Human Fish Posted: 28 Jul 2010 04:31 PM PDT It doesn’t matter how obscure the football match is, how poor the teams playing may be, or how decidedly average the goal scored is, it can all be put right by an original and fun goal celebration. Which is a description perfectly suited to this video.
The game is Stjarnan against Fylkir in the premier Icelandic league. Halldor Orri scores a cocky penalty and decides to stage one of the most original goal celebrations I’ve ever seen. He starts fishing and catches a whopper almost immediately. His name is Johann Laxdal, otherwise known as Johann the Salmon. And as he’s reeled in he wriggles on the line exactly like a frisky fish. The clip ends with the rest of his teammates holding Johann up and posing with their record catch. Genius. |
“Sucker Punch” Movie Trailer Video | Hot Girls and Swords, What’s Not to Like? Posted: 28 Jul 2010 03:37 PM PDT Zack Snyder has a reputation for delivering visually spectacular films, from the Spartan epic 300 to the comic book action flick Watchmen. Here’s the trailer for his latest effort Sucker Punch, a movie which looks every bit as slick as its predecessors. Snyder had promised us "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns," and the trailer seems to deliver it. We’ll find out whether it’s all style and no substance when Sucker Punch hits American cinemas on March 25. |
