| Lazy Or Genius? Video | Cleaner Uses Head Posted: 18 Sep 2010 11:10 AM PDT This video is being touted as some kind of fail, but I have no idea why. Because it shows a cleaner cleverly using his head to do his job. Not literally using his head, of course, but using his intelligence to do his job in an easier and more-efficient manner.
This is such a sensible and practical solution to a problem. Why bother walking up the escalator cleaning each section of glass when this makes much more sense? We’ve already seen something similar here on WebTVHub earlier this year. Maybe this guy saw that video, which spread virally around the Web, and had a Eureka moment. I just wish there was some way of making my job easier, short-cutting some of the effort and instead going on autopilot. But I haven’t worked out any way of doing that quite yet. Which is a shame.      |

And so the world lost the greatest guitarist to have ever lived on Sept. 18, 1970. This video shows the Jimi Hendrix Experience performing Purple Haze live on what looks like a French TV show in 1967. Alongside Jimi on guitar and vocals is Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums.
Hendrix is such an iconic figure in the world of music. He has inspired countless other bands and individuals over the decades, and is unlikely to ever lose his crown as the most naturally-gifted guitarist of all time. It’s just a shame he died so young at the tender age of just 27-years-old. In that time he release three studio albums, all of which are considered classics to this day.  |
| Student Suspended for Bloodshot Eyes Video | School Drugs Policy Gone Mad Posted: 17 Sep 2010 07:20 PM PDT Yet again the Young Turks remind us just how crazy American policies can be. In this video they tell the story of a boy suspended from school when they suspected he’d been using marijuana. This is an unfortunate case, but it just goes to show the ridiculousness of such hyper vigilance. We have bloodshot eyes because we’ve been crying, because we’re tired, because we’re allergic to pollen, because we have pink eye, and yes sometimes because we’ve been smoking pot. To jump to the final conclusion without any investigation just shows the world has gone mad. I hope this school learns its lesson.  |
| Cute Orphan Otter Video | Adopted By Humans, Befriended By Dog, Swims In Bath Posted: 17 Sep 2010 12:16 PM PDT Wow. This video cannot fail to lift your heart no matter how rubbish a day you are having. There is still some good left in this world after all.
A three-month-old otter pup was found alone on a building site in Wales. Alerted by workmen, he was rescued by a wildlife center, named Garaint, and taken into the home of the founder, Pauline Kidner. She has now raised, taught it to swim in the bathtub, and even found a friend for the otter in the form of an eight-month-old Labrador puppy named Mollie. The most amazing part of the video is when Garaint and Mollie are play-fighting. At one point the dog has the otter’s head in its mouth but you can tell it doesn’t want to do any harm. I think I’ll watch this every time I feel depressed. It immediately puts a smile on my face.  |
