Ah, gotta love Jimmy Carr. Unless you hate him. He’s that kind of comedian.

Every now and then he pulls one out that totally takes me off guard and I can hardly believe that he actually said what he did. This video sure has a few of those kind of gems.

While I am not especially keen on all the gay jokes (and I’m starting to see why some people don’t like him), you have to love a make who can so easily work chess into a joke. Love it.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops isn’t released until November 9, but the multiplayer gameplay has already been revealed.

This video shows what gamers should expect when they head online to play CoD: Black Ops against other players around the world.

There’s absolutely no doubt that Call Of Duty: Black Ops is going to be huge. If it sells anywhere near as well as its predecessor Modern Warfare 2 then it’ll become the biggest game of the year. Yes, even bigger than Red Dead Redemption.

The main reason so many people buy the Call Of Duty games is for the multiplayer. The single-play story usually only lasts a few hours, and it’s the online gaming that holds people’s interests in the long term.

And it has to be said that the multiplayer for Black Ops looks stunning at this point.

The Oatmeal is one of the top webcomics out there. Creator Matthew Inman talks about creating the site, his ideas and how he drove traffic to it. He also offers up some advice on how to create successful viral marketing campaigns.

For being one of the top webcomics out there, I haven’t heard of it before… but that really doesn’t mean much.

This video just goes to show how much you can do with a good idea you can expand on. I’m sure Inman didn’t think he would be getting five million unique viewers when he first started out.

Controversial Government X-Ray Van (Video) | 4th Amendment Violation?

This commercial for a van with x-ray technology is causing quite an uproar online. While the company that manufactures the van suggests that it’s only intention is to promote safety, many people are questioning if such technology is unconstitutional.

Is it just me or does this seem like a violation of the 4th amendment?

The last thing I need is to be fearing that some x-ray van is scanning my body/car and emitting harmful radioactive rays whenever I’m out of the house. The last time I checked, you still needed to have protection for x-ray scans, so I’m wondering if this technology is cancer-causing.

I could see how something like this could be useful for airports, but honestly, I’m not that paranoid about people trying to blow me up everywhere I go with hidden explosives. War toys need to stay where wars are.

Watch Barack Obama Presidential Address on US Combat Troop Withdrawal Video

In his second address from the Oval Office, President Obama addresses the United States and spoke about the he set for the withdrawal of all U.S. combat forces from the country. Fifty thousand non-combat troops are to remain until the end of 2011.

Well, it certainly took him long enough, but he has finally come good on his promise to get the US out of Iraq. While fifty thousand will still remain, at least this is a start.

While I am not personally influenced by the war (army family members, but none currently serving), I am incredibly happy for those who are.

Plastic Bags Banned In California? (Video) | Amy Smart & Rosario Dawson Support Bill

The “Ban The Bag” bill has definitely been making some waves this week. The bill, which would place a state-wide ban on single-use plastic bags is even being supported by actresses like Amy Smart and Rosario Dawson.

Personally, I’m 100% behind this environmentally-conscious movement since, statistically, only about 2% of plastics actually get recycled.

It looks like the phrase “paper or plastic?” is about to change into “paper or cloth?” pretty soon. Plastics, are after all, made with the use of oil- what will it take for us to realize we need to stop consuming so much? Another BP crisis maybe?

Here are a few key points of the bill:

  • All supermarkets would stop carrying plastic bags by 2012.
  • If customers don’t bring their own bag, a 40% recycled paper bag will be provided to them for cents on the dollar.
  • Stores cannot profit from the charging of grocery bags, and people with food stamps would get them for free.

Moving War Story Video | WWII Soldier Recounts Memory of Moment with “Enemy”

Most of us were are too young to remember the devastation of World War II, but this man does. Happily though, he also remembers a moment where he connected with a man who was meant to be his enemy.

The soldier tells of a night during wartime when he played his trumpet. He plays the same tune again, and you’d swear he was transported back to the time.

While his comrades probably appreciated the music, it was a German man that reached out to him the next day and said how much the song reminded him of his loved ones back home.

War forces us to choose sides and tells us who our enemies are. But this video reminds us that no matter what we’re told, we really are all the same.

Smashed PS3 Prank Video | ‘Friends’ Play Cruel Trick On Aggro Guy – He Gets Violent

If you’ve got a friend who acts all hard and aggressive at the best of times, then it’s probably best not to push him too hard, because he will snap and become overly violent. Because he’s a douchebag, obviously.

This video shows some friends hanging out when one of them picks up the guy’s PS3 and smashes it on to the floor. The guy who’s Playstation 3 it is goes ape shit, and clearly wants to beat the crap out of someone.

An overreaction? Of course, but you can see as soon as the video begins that this guy is an over-aggressive idiot who likes to be all pumped-up and on the verge of snapping.

Also, I’m not sure what kind of friends these guys are because they spend the whole of the video swearing and calling each other names. Strange.
