New York Invasion Video | East Coast Destroyed By 1980s Video Game Characters Posted: 10 Apr 2010 09:13 AM PDT Imagine if you will the possibility of 1980s video games coming back to haunt us. And no, I’m not talking about a trip to a rural arcade which appears to got stuck in a 1980s time-warp.
What if those characters we used and abused for a decade decided they wanted revenge, and so broke through a television portal from their time to ours in order to wreak havoc on New York? This video shows what it would be like. You get Space Invaders destroying taxi cabs, Pacman eating his way around the subway, Tetris blocks adding several layers to the buildings, and Donkey Kong throwing barrels from the top of the Empire State Building. But as bad as all that is, it’s when Bomberman arrives that you have to worry. Because that means it’s Game Over. |
Tiger Woods Nike Commercial Spoof Video | Earl Complains From Beyond The Grave Posted: 10 Apr 2010 03:43 AM PDT Unbelievably, Nike chose not to drop Tiger Woods when the recent revelations over his extra-marital bedroom activities became public knowledge. In fact, it’s using it to sell sportswear! You’ve likely already seen the original, which has Tiger’s dead father Earl talking to him. But this is one of the many spoofs now available on YouTube, the one I enjoyed watching the most.
It features a Tiger lookalike (if you squint a little) being told off by his father. You see, Earl didn’t really want his disembodied voice used on the commercial, and he also wants Tiger to stop looking like a constipated sex pest. It amazes me why Nike and Tiger chose an advert that could so easily be spoofed. I guess it’s good for Nike, getting their name mentioned numerous times, but for Tiger? Not so much, because we’re all laughing at him. |
Trailer Fail Video | This Isn’t How to Remove a Trailer From a Tight Spot Posted: 09 Apr 2010 06:53 PM PDT If you’ve got a trailer in a tight spot, this probably isn’t the way to get it out. I won’t spoil it in case you’re reading this before viewing the clip, but needless to say the climax is pretty spectacular! While I marveled at the stupidity of the driver and his encouraging mates though, another question went through my mind. How on earth did they get the trailer into that garage in the first place? |
