Red Dead Redemption Review Video | Rockstar Releases GTA Set In The Wild West Posted: 17 May 2010 07:44 AM PDT Red Dead Redemption is the latest game from Rockstar, makers of the ever-popular Grand Theft Auto series. It’s released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 this week, and the first reviews are now hitting the Web. This is a video review that has the advantage of being able to back up platitudes by showing footage of relevant parts of the game. All three reviewers are impressed with Red Dead Redemption.
I’ve yet to see Red Dead Redemption given a bad review, with most people appearing to love the graphics, gameplay, and style. This despite, or maybe because of, the game essentially being GTA set in the Wild West. The Wild West has never really had a good video game, but it looks as Red Dead Redemption may be that game. The sandbox style seems perfectly suited to the environment, and this is a game that should appeal to a wide range of people. I’m buying Red Dead Redemption. Are you? |
Cute Kittens on a Slide Video | Playground Not the Best Place for Cat Babies Posted: 16 May 2010 05:33 PM PDT As this video shows, if you’re a mama cat you probably don’t want to give birth at the top of a slide. Her curious kitties are desperate to explore their new surroundings, no matter how hazardous! I’m sure he’s escaped serious injury. And the videographer assures us all that she helped the tiny puss at the end rather than simply giggling at his predicament. Although I’m sure there was giggling too! |
Otto The Cat Keeps Goal Video | This Cat Should Play In The Soccer World Cup 2010 Posted: 16 May 2010 02:50 PM PDT I often wish I was a cat. Assuming they have a loving owner then they really do live a charmed life. They eat, sleep, play, and chase. And that’s it. No work, no stress, no money worries. And yet cats still get to play games, including football. Sure, it’s not proper soccer as we understand it, but they make brilliant goalkeepers. This one, called Otto, should be playing in the World Cup in South Africa.
My cat is almost as good as this, but not quite. The fact is I often kick a small juggling ball around my front room but I rarely get it past him. He slides, jumps, leaps, and somersaults his way around, catching it 9 times out of 10. There was a famous Chelsea and England goalkeeper called Peter Bonetti whose nickname was ‘The Cat’. But I don’t think even he could beat Otto for athletic ability. |
