Brittany Murphy’s Husband Dead (Video) | Simon Monjack Passes Away At 39 Posted: 24 May 2010 09:50 AM PDT Just 5 months after actress Brittany Murphy’s death, her husband Simon Monjack was found dead in the couple’s house last night. While the coroner’s report says that he died from natural causes, many people are skeptical of this since the man was only 39 years old. Monjack’s actual cause of death is still speculated as of now. Sources like The Guardian claim that empty pill bottles were found near his body and TMZ claims that he was scheduled to undergo bypass surgery in September. Monjack was also known to have siezures |
Lost Ending Explained Video | Jimmy Kimmel Live Lost Cast Q&A Provides Some Answers Posted: 24 May 2010 08:11 AM PDT That’s it. It’s all over. Lost, one of the greatest TV series ever made, has come to an end with an episode titled The End. Which is rather fitting. The finale, and the explanation for the whole series, has split opinion pretty evenly. Most agree, however, that while it wasn’t spectacular or surprising, it was neat and satisfying. Which is probably better in the long run.
The problem is many people still had questions even after the credits rolled. Thankfully, Jimmy Kimmel hosted a live Q&A with the main cast members. And some extra little tidbits were revealed. The fact is that Lost was never going to answer all of its own questions. And that’s a good thing because the most memorable TV shows over the years have left viewers wanting, both more episodes, and more answers. Lost has now joined those ranks. |
Winnebago Man Trailer | Viral Video Star Jack Rebney Gets a Documentary Posted: 24 May 2010 02:42 AM PDT A few years ago a Winnebago spokesman called Jack Rebney became one of the world’s first viral video stars after his crew pieced together his foul-mouthed tantrums. Today his story is being told in the new documentary Winnebago Man. Winnebago Man has been doing the festival circuit for the last year or so, picking up a swag of awards along the way, and has finally secured a theatrical release. You can see it in selected American cinemas on July 9. |
iPad Plus Velcro Equals Love Video | Easy GPS, Photo Frame & More Posted: 23 May 2010 07:52 PM PDT A little velcro goes a long way when it comes to turning your iPad into something even more fun and useful than you expected. I’m not sure I would trust it enough to put my iPad on my ceiling, but the ideas are pretty cool. I don’t have nor will I ever have an iPad, but video has caused me to have a think about it. It seems a waste of power to use it for something like a photo frame, but the GPS in the car was interesting. But again, they have a lot more faith in the stick of velcro than I do… |
Watch Oceanos Cruise Ship Sinking Special News Report Video | Bravery & Cowardice Posted: 23 May 2010 06:38 PM PDT “The Eastern Cape coast has some of the rockiest coastal features in Southern Africa… It was on this coast that the worst sea disaster in South Africa's recent history took place, with the sinking of the MVS Oceanos, an ocean liner, in 1991.” – Digital Journal Supreme acts of cowardice and bravery were apparent in the 1991 sinking of the cruise liner Oceanos. As captain and crew abandoned the passengers, two passengers took charge, saving many lives. I can’t help but wonder what happened to the captain and crew. I hope they were all fired on the spot and their names published. That sort of behavior is disgusting. |
Awesome Australian Hip Hop Sleeveface Music Video | “Put It On Wax” by Ozi Batla Posted: 23 May 2010 05:20 PM PDT Some time ago I introduced you to sleevefacing, a photographic practice where classic vinyl records stand in place of real faces. I love it, and so it seems does Australian hip hopper Ozi Batla. This clip is great fun to watch, and just distracting enough for us to forget that Australian hip hop music isn’t all that good. |
Classic Abbott & Costello Routine Video | 13 Goes Into 28 Seven Times… Apparently Posted: 23 May 2010 01:46 PM PDT Abbott and Costello were a little before my time. About 30 years before my time in fact. However, the fact that some of their comedy routines can still raise a laugh to this day says a lot about how clever they were. This is an example of their ‘7 times 13 = 28′ routine, in which Costello swears blind that 28 can be divided by seven 13 times. And he has the math skills to prove it.
OK, so his math is a little off, with tens being counted as ones and all that jazz. But the fact we know it’s wrong doesn’t make it any less funny to watch. This video is proof that some comedy is timeless. While the modern comedians who are mostly observational will date badly, it’s these guys that will be remembered far into the future. And rightly so. |
