The Green Hornet Movie Trailer Video | Seth Rogen, Jay Chou Play Badass Superheroes

Posted: 22 Jun 2010 08:13 AM PDT

This is the new trailer for The Green Hornet, the movie based on the long-running character who started life on the radio. The Green Hornet has since been seen in comics, on TV, and in previous movies.

The Green Hornet this time is played by Seth Rogen, the portly star of Judd Apatow comedies such as Knocked Up and Anchorman.

Rogen is a very funny and likable man, but it remains to be seen whether he can pull off this particular role. The trailer hasn’t managed to yet convince me that this is the case; he’s funny and likable, as you’d expect, but badass? Hmm, I’m not sure.

Most of the action seems to have been left to Jay Chou who plays The Green Hornet’s trusty sidekick Kato. The Green Hornet is due to be released January 2011.

Disney’s Toy Story 3 Review (Video) | It’s So Good, You Just Might Cry

Posted: 21 Jun 2010 09:44 PM PDT

For many, Toy Story has a place in our hearts simply because it was the first fully 3D animated film. I remember walking out of the theater as a child being completely blown away.

Apparently this latest installment has a similar effect on those same people- some of which are crying by the time the credits roll!

If you were a 90’s kid, then you’ve probably grown up with Toy Story. In this latest installment Andy goes to college and donates his toys to charity; something many of us can relate to. For this reason Toy Story 3 is said to be the most emotional part of the trilogy.

Of course, the saddest part is that upcoming generations of kids probably won’t be able to relate to Toy Story. Video games have practically annihilated the once-booming toy industry. I for one, am just grateful that I grew up with a classic trilogy.

Sexy Russian Car Insurance Advertisement Video | Proof Breasts Can Sell Anything

Posted: 21 Jun 2010 07:28 PM PDT

In Russia they advertise things a little differently, but the basic principles of commercials are universal. Sex sells … even when your product is car insurance.

Jiggling breasts may have little to do with car insurance, but I’m not sure anyone really minds. Even with the cars painted onto the heaving mammaries, the link is still a bit tenuous. Yet this ad stimulates conversation, amongst other things, and certainly leaves an indelible print in your mind.

Russians probably don’t remember that this ad is for the insurance firm Rosgosstrakh, which is the ad’s only real downfall. Perhaps changing its name to “The one with the boobs” would bring more customers?

Watch Unluckiest Contestant Ever on Deal or No Deal Australia Video

In July 2006, Josh Sharp created Deal or No Deal history by not only being dubbed as the unluckiest contestant ever but also receiving the lowest bank offer ever.

I think it’s plain to see the the odds of this happening are bloody astronomical.

And you thought you were unlucky!

You would think they would have some sort of prize for doing that, but Josh Sharp at least ended up with some fame because of it in the end. Whether you’d want to be known that way or not, I don’t know.

If you’re wondering how much Josh ended up taking home in the end, well, he went home with $10.

Watch Funny Cheerleading Dad Commercial Video | Public Service Announcement for Fatherhood.gov

No action is too much for a good father.

That was very weird for a little bit there…

…but it ended up being super cute.

I find it a little sad that the government feels there is such a need to try to get fathers to spend more time with their children. I know there are problems, but is it so bad that they need to start putting up these PSAs?

Well, apparently the government thinks so, having recently created Fatherhood.gov in cooperation with the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse.

There have been a few jokes about how well this will work, given men and directions, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Man Vs. Shark Video | Guess Who Wins…

Posted: 21 Jun 2010 03:21 PM PDT

When a man goes up against a shark, there’s only ever going to be one winner. The shark, naturally. And I’m glad, too.

When I was younger I used to regularly go angling. This wasn’t fishing to catch creatures to eat, but fishing for the sport of catching creatures to then set them free immediately afterwards.

I don’t fish anymore, because I realized it’s actually quite cruel, hooking an animal inside its mouth, and hauling it out of its natural environment. That’s a lesson this guy should perhaps learn, and maybe he will after getting bitten by the shark he’s caught while sea fishing.

He’s busy yanking the hook messily out of the shark’s mouth, which has got to be excruciatingly painful. And then wonders why the shark turns on him and bites. And the shark hasn’t got man boobs either.
