Nikki & Rich Music Video | Pop Duo Cover Muse’s Uprising For Billboard Mashup Monday

Muse are my favorite rock band of all time. Seriously. I rate them higher than any band who has ever been, and that includes the likes of The Who and The Rolling Stones. Not The Beatles, but they’re primarily a pop group. Kinda.

Anyway, my love of Muse means this video is intriguing. It’s a cover of Uprising from their latest album The Resistance by Nikki and Rich. And it’s not very good.

OK, so some people may like it. Fans of Nikki and Rich, I’m guessing. There are a few out there apparently. This cover was performed and recorded for Billboard’s ‘Mashup Monday’.

If you like this version of Uprising and haven’t heard the original then I urge you to download it. In fact, get the whole album and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

We’re all used to seeing pretty blond cheerleaders wearing next to nothing and making the boys drool. They’re impressive, but also a bit predictable. So it’s great to see the guy in this video bucking the trend.

He’s not particularly handsome or particularly thin. In fact, he’s average in almost every way, except when it comes to team spirit. This guy has it in spades, and when he executes his routine with so much gusto it just makes you want to smile.

And remember, this is just the dress rehearsal. Can you picture just how much he’s going to give when he runs into the arena? I can only imagine!

The Worst Soccer Dives Of All Time Video | The 2010 World Cup Fell Short On This Count

Cheating is rife in soccer. Many of us wish it wasn’t but it’s just a fact in a sport where so many games have so much riding on the result.

This video shows some of the worst (or best, depending on your point of view) dives and over-reactions ever captured on film. Nothing from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa can compete.

Diving, and trying to get awarded a penalty or free-kick, is almost taught to players these days. Which is why there is so much of it about, with players often going down as if they’re been shot by a sniper in the crowd.

My favorites from this sequence are the two right near the end. Both show two people coming together in a clash of heads, and both show two people falling to the ground as if their heads have exploded.

I wish football was cleaner, but it does make for funny video clips.
