Tourettes Karaoke Video | Spandau Ballet’s ‘Gold’ Complete With Uncontrollable Tics

Posted: 20 Sep 2010 11:09 AM PDT

OK, so you’re allowed to laugh a little at this video because it is funny. Go on, admit it. But it’s also strangely compelling and more than a little saddening.

Tourette Syndrome is no laughing matter. People who suffer from it spend their life experiencing tics, both physical and verbal. So they may swear a lot, keep coughing, or randomly whistle.

Now imagine trying to sing karaoke while suffering from tics like that. In fact, don’t imagine, just watch this guy who bravely decided to post videos of his efforts to the Web.

This is him singing Gold by Spandau Ballet but there are loads of other videos on his YouTube channel. They’re all brilliant, primarily because the guy can actually sing, and manages to do so despite his illness.

Fred The Movie Review Video | Fred Figglehorn Makes Movie Debut On Nickelodeon

Posted: 20 Sep 2010 06:08 AM PDT

If you haven’t ever heard of or experienced Fred Figglehorn then where have you been? I cannot guarantee you’ll like Fred but he is a true Web phenomenon that has now crossed over to the mainstream in a big way.

Fred is the creation of Lucas Cruikshank, a Nebraskan teenager who plays a squeaky and annoying 6-year-old child in the skits which first started appearing on YouTube back in 2008.

Fred The Movie has now played on Nickelodeon, and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray next month. This video is a review of Fred The Movie by Stuff We Like.

You’ll either love or hate Fred The Movie. And if you love it then you have hours of fun ahead of you catching up with the hundreds of episodes releasing on the video-sharing site over the past couple of years.

15 Year-Old Justin Bieber Drumming (Video) | Not Your Typical Pop Singer

Posted: 19 Sep 2010 09:50 PM PDT

If you watched the 2010 MTV VMA’s you probably saw Justin Bieber’s performance of his horrible song ‘Baby.’ While I wasn’t impressed with the Chris Brown-like stage presence, I was very shocked by the fact that he ended the performance with a drum solo.

As it turns out he’s been playing drums since he was 13! Not bad for your typical pop singer.

I have to admit, before watching him actually play an instrument, I originally thought Justin was another talentless pop act that just lip synced. My jaw was dropping the entire time!

If you want to see the performance he did at the MTV VMA’s you can view it below. The drumming starts at 3:30 and he even keeps going after dropping a drum stick!

Watch Funny The Things We Say Wrong Video | English Grammar Gone Bad

Or is it ‘gone badly’?

Whether you like it or not, English is a funny language with a lot of rules that don’t always work. Even so, you don’t have to abuse it with net speak and nonsense.

I love it when people play with English like this in order not only to show us what we’re doing wrong but poking fun at the language itself.

Of course, you actually have to be familiar with the rules to make fun of them, and a lot of people aren’t familiar…

Blame it on schooling, blame it on the internet…

All I know is that we need more people like this guy before our language dissolves into grunts.

Watch Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Info Video | How to Get Rid of New Pest

Posted: 19 Sep 2010 06:48 PM PDT

A new pest has invaded US borders from China and entomologist Gary Hevel explains how the brown marmorated stink bug crossed the ocean and how to get rid of them.

It would seem that the US just cannot catch lately with this new bug deciding that the US will make a fine home.

While the stink bugs are certainly an annoyance, at least they can’t sting or bite. Unfortunately, they do have a taste for a variety of plants, including fruits and veggies.

As more farmers are reporting that the chemicals used to control the bugs before are not working, they stress that the bugs don’t actually do anything to affect the taste of the foods.

Mahogany “The X Factor” Australia Video | Sisters Sing Adam Lambert Acoustic

Posted: 19 Sep 2010 03:43 PM PDT

Australia’s X Factor live shows have kicked off with some fantastic performances. While not everyone got it right on judges’ choice night, one act that did was girl group Mahogany.

The sisters put their stripped down spin on Adam Lambert’s hit “Whataya Want From Me.” It was a fitting choice for the girls who once sang back-up vocals for their mentor Guy Sebastian.

The media has suggested he’s played favorites by supporting them, but this performance should silence their critics. Their flawless vocals and incredible harmonies show that they definitely deserve their place in the television talent quest.

The controversy might disadvantage them, but this performance should see their place secure for some weeks yet.

Playstation Move Demo Video | Wii-Like Motion-Sensing Controller On The Sony PS3

Posted: 19 Sep 2010 12:11 PM PDT

Playstation Move is now available to buy in North America and Europe, with Japan getting it next month.

This video shows Move in action, with a couple of the games which make up Sports Champions being demonstrated. This is the title that is available to buy as part of the hardware bundle in the U.S.

Playstation Move is, essentially, the same technology as the Wii Remote. Which could be a problem as the Wii has been out for a few years and built up quite a following.

About the only difference is the quality of graphics, with the PS3 obviously able to display vastly superior visuals. Whether that’ll be enough to persuade people to buy Playstation Move is still in question.

And that’s before Microsoft releases Kinect on the Xbox 360. Kinect, of course, being another Wii clone, but one which uses your body as the controller.
