Plenty of 60s-inspired knitwear, including zip cardigans and long-sleeve tops. Typically for Gabicci, there's some pretty nasty stuff mixed in too, but if you like their classic tops, you'll find some bargains - typically £100 price tags for items like the ones above have been cut to £30 - £40. You'll have to register at Secret Sales to get into the sale (like the Brand Alley one from earlier in the week), but that takes less than a minute. eBay watch: Dieter Rams-designed Braun RT20 radio Posted: 02 Dec 2010 08:30 AM PST We might have featured one of these before. If you missed that - or have never seen one before - this Braun RT20 radio is a very cool (and practical) thing to have around the house. The work of Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot around 1961, it still has a very contemporary edge to it, thanks to that non-nonsense modernist design. It picks up LW, MW and FM signals, with audio via that large built-in speaker. There's some wear to the wooden and metal casing, but there doesn't look a lot, judging by the large number of images on the site. 64p is the current price, so cheap it's unheard of. Brownie Light Posted: 02 Dec 2010 06:55 AM PST   Type is a design shop based in London's East End, that sells an intriguing mixture of fashion and interior design items. The Brownie Light is one of their bestselling products and it is not hard to see why. The light has been created by taking a vintage brownie camera and adding a bulb in the place where the lens normally goes. The result is an unusual piece that will particularly appeal to photography fans, but equally to anyone who likes to see vintage items put to new uses. The Brownie Light costs £120. For sale: Michael Sassoon-designed 1960s midcentury-style house in Cheadle, Cheshire Posted: 02 Dec 2010 06:50 AM PST It might not look like much from the outside, but we love the inside of this Michael Sassoon-designed midcentury-style house in Cheadle, Cheshire. Mainly because it's hardly been touched since the day it was built. We presume that's in the 1960s, it's not entirely clear. But we do know that this three-bedroom house was designed by renowned residential architect Michael Sassoon, one of a number he designed around the area. However, most have been severely updated and look little like an original these days. That's not the case here. It has a symmetrical mono-pitch roof, with an internal layout creating a 'living' wing and a 'sleeping' wing connected by a reception hallway, all offering up plenty of light, thanks to the widespread use of glass. This particular property has never been on the market before, having been commissioned by the current owners. It also retains many of its best original features, including some eey-catching wood panelling and built-in furniture. It might need some new decor, but structurally, you are buying into a past era. In terms of specifics, you get an enclosed porch, entrance hall, cloakroom/WC, lounge/dining room, breakfast kitchen, utility room, inner hallways, three bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a bathroom. The outside space also includes lawns and an integral double garage. On the market now, it's up for £445,000. Let's hope the developers don't get to it first. Louis Sidoli’s “Most Wanted” Prints Posted: 02 Dec 2010 05:56 AM PST   Louis Sidoli's "Most Wanted" collection of prints uses police mugshots of famous people who've fallen foul of the law. We've seen a similar idea used before on mugs and tea towels, but Sidoli's designs have been given a pop art twist with each portrait having a brightly coloured wash over it, which he says is in tribute to Andy Warhol's silkscreens. There are twelve designs, featuring all the usual suspects (if you'll pardon the pun) including Sid Vicious, Mick Jagger, Al Capone , Jim Morrison, Frank Sinatra and Steve McQueen. The framed giclée prints are each limited to 495 of each design and cost £399 from Washington Green.

V&A Seasonal Toys Christmas cards Posted: 02 Dec 2010 03:37 AM PST These Seasonal Toys Christmas cards are inspired by objects in the V&A museum's massive collection. By seasonal, they mean toys very much in the Christmas spirit, such as the clockwork reindeer pictured which dates from the 1970s.  Each pack contains three designs so, as well as the reindeer, you also get an image of a 1970s toy train and a late '40s clockwork turkey. Sign Your Name wallpaper by Mrs Murphy Posted: 02 Dec 2010 03:31 AM PST We've already featured Mrs Murphy's fabulous pin-up girl tile stickers, and here's another of her designs with the same 50s rockabilly feel, her Sign Your Name wallpaper. Inspired by traditional sailor tattoos, the wallpaper is covered with a mix of full and broken heart motifs. Each heart has a scroll for you to add your own name.
