eBay watch: 1970s Austin Mini pick-up truck Posted: 27 Feb 2011 11:16 AM PST Lovely little vehicle that would be perfect for a retro-themed business - this 1970s Austin Mini pick-up truck.
Specifically it dates from 1979. At least, most of it does - the engine is a brand new 'gold seal engine' that's done just 3,000 miles since it was installed. So that's the effective mileage. Other than that, this completely-restored vehicle looks pretty much spotless, especially that canvas cover for the rear.
£4,500 is the starting bid if you want it for yourself.

Alfred Sargent suede Chelsea boots for Fred Perry Posted: 27 Feb 2011 09:41 AM PST Over on our His Knibs site, we have covered the Fred Perry British Collectables range , but we highlighted these Alfred Sargent for Fred Perry suede Chelsea boots.
These are classic Chelsea boots, with a suede upper, fully leather lined but finished with Fred Perry's trademark twin tipping on the side elastic in a choice of two colours. According to the official blurb, they're also 'Made in England to the highest standards' and created using the Goodyear welting method associated with the finest quality British handmade shoes. There's also an insole that features Fred Perry/Alfred Sargent branding in gold, while the signature Laurel Wreath sits on the leather heel tab.
All of which probably accounts for the high price. They sell for £295 a pair. See the other colour combo over the page.
