THE GALLERY OF THE ARTS DETROIT ROCK AND FASHION Posted: 27 Apr 2011 06:41 PM PDT Kimmer and Chizzy Hey gang this is a new virtual art gallery which features a lot of my close friends! Just met John Gnotek and this is his baby so please check this site out!! John sent this email to me: Hi Kim. Very nice meeting you last night. I wish I would have gotten there sooner to get to know you and your daughter more. She certainly is a budding talent too. Very kind words on your website too. Thanks. The virtual art exhibit I'm putting together right now is still but a work-in-progress, but if you care to check it out: http://www.TheGalleryOfTheArts.com/DetroitRockNFashion/ The exhibit is called Detroit Rock N' Fashion with artists from The Gallery of the Arts (www.TheGalleryOfTheArts.com) who are involved in Detroit rock or fashion. So far: Johnny Bee, Gwen Joy, Elise Mesner, Chizzy Mike Chisholm, Nina Friday, Wendy Mastal. Clicking on any of their art launches a pop up window with details and a Buy Now button. The objective is to pitch virtual art exhibit to galleries in Europe to highlight Detroit from a more positive, yet real perspective and introduce these artists to a European audience—an audience who is big into American rock, especially iconic American rock. And little is more iconic in rock than Detroit. Plus this presents both seasoned and upcoming personalities. This virtual art exhibit can be presented projected on a wall, on a flat screen HD TV, interactively on a computer terminal or featured on a gallery website. I look forward to seeing you around. Again, I'm intending to first pitch this to European galleries, in which they can either project on a wall, on a large flat screen TV, on a computer, or on their website. Thanks, John |
DETROIT: DEAD MAN'S HAND FREE DOWNLOAD! Posted: 27 Apr 2011 04:33 PM PDT This is one kick ass cd! Ron Cooke (bass) gave me a copy and his 2wife Pam gave me a bunch of background info on it. This lineup never played live anywhere.... What a shame as they were a killer high performance team of musicians! The whole recording took about 3 days to complete.. Spur of the moment whim with no rehearsal over a 15 day period. Unbelievable!!! For 7 days you can have my favorite song off this cd "Stoned" written by my friend Ron Cooke It's about Ron's rebellion... America and Europe is so used to pigeon holed music... that is what the music industry is like today... JOHNNY BEE BADANJEK: AN ARTIST AND HIS MOTHER Posted: 27 Apr 2011 03:27 PM PDT The Artist and his Mother Acrylic on Canvas 32" x 40" Johnny Bee Badanjek and my friend Dee Gilbert Bee's Art Gallery. Here you can view Bee's paintings, many of which are available to purchase. Bee's artwork can be found throughout the country in various galleries. If you are interested in one of his pieces of art, please feel free to email him HERE. View more of Bee's art HERE Johnny Bee Badanjek at River's Edge Gallery in Wyandotte "Art chose me at a very early age. As a descendant from a very passionate lineage my people were known for their expressiveness. My first inclination to artistic form was musical in nature. To me, melody and rhythm are akin to breathing and consuming oxygen. As I progressed in my career as a musician, I never saw myself as a side man in a top rock band ever. I am proud to say that I always carried myself and my craft as an artist. Coming from Detroit, Michigan and being exposed to the multi-cultural musical taboo that was commonplace to this town, I was witnessed to some of the greatest musical artistry and brilliance the likes this world has not yet recovered from. "Johnny "Bee" Badanjek" Sticks N' Skins is AVAILABLE NOW !! Jules Follett, author of the book, Steve Badalament of Innovation Drum Company and Johnny Bee Badanjek. |
