Paisley Print Dress from Dorothy Perkins Posted: 15 Aug 2011 11:03 AM PDT Along with a wide variety of bold prints, paisley came to the peak of its popularity in women's fashion during the 1960s. Coupling the classic print with bright, psychedelic colours, this Paisley Print Dress captures that later sixties and early seventies aesthetic in an easy to wear item. The dress has a relaxed cut, with a loose fit and capped sleeves creating a seventies silhouette that's reminiscent of the kimono styles popular at the time. The mini hemline ties into that crossover of eras, while the combination of florals into the paisley print adds a feminine retro appeal. Get yours from Dorothy Perkins now for £24. |
Cape Back Dress from Halston Heritage Posted: 15 Aug 2011 10:56 AM PDT Although the seventies trend that's swept this Summer's high street collections has brought plenty of great vintage inspired designs, there's never anyone quite so en pointe as the original designers. Taking inspiration from the house's original designs, this Cape Back Dress comes from Halston's Heritage line. In a vibrant shade of coral, the mini dress is elevated beyond the ordinary by chic draping and rich fabric. The cape back design creates a head-turning silhouette, against the simplicity of the sleeveless dress cut. It's now available in the UK from Matches Fashion for £398. |
eBay watch: 1960s G-Plan Astro circular coffee table Posted: 15 Aug 2011 06:49 AM PDT We have featured one of these in the past, but as this G-Plan Astro coffee table is going cheap right now, it is well worth flagging up once more. |

Posted: 15 Aug 2011 03:04 AM PDT This Mobile Evolution print by Kyle Bean is a simple but effective way to show how technology has changed over a relatively short period. The Brighton based design has placed simplified models of the phones into a line, starting with the huge brick like forms of over 30 years ago and moving onto the more slimline devices of today. If you like, snap it up now as it's a limited edition of 100. The A4 sized print costs £22. Order it online via Swissmiss |
Posted: 15 Aug 2011 02:51 AM PDT Like their other designs, the pattern is bold and colourful with a Scandinavian influence. Available to buy directly from the Isak website. |

The designs include spots, flowers and gingham, with no two being the same to give the overall impression that you've collected them individually from markets and second-hand shops.
