Sharp silhouettes and mod styles are always appealing for lovers of sixties fashion, but if you're after something more traditional and feminine from that decade's design, dolly dresses are always worth a look. This Bow Front Dress from Max C is a great look at a lesser seen 60s style. The chiffon style fabric is ideal to create a flowing silhouette, with the cuffed elbow length sleeves and short swing skirt finishing off the shape. The addition of a bib front with its contrast coloured bow works ideally with the vintage look colour palette of both options. Get yours from Oasis now for £40. |

eBay watch: 1950s Morris Minor Traveller Posted: 31 Oct 2011 08:15 AM PDT Not quite a perfect example, but it will take very little work to get this classic 1950s Morris Minor Traveller is pristine condition. It's a great example regardless, especially for a runaround vehicle dating back to 1958. It's also in a rare shade - 'birch grey'. According to the seller, this Minor is in 'great' condition, with no rust and a solid example all-round, with the wood 'beautiful and newly varnished'. It's also got leather seats, with the sale also including two spare seats, perhaps to cover for the driver's seat being a little worn.Downsides? Not too many on the face of it, but note that the chrome bumpers have some minor pitting but 'polish up OK', while the paint has the odd mark to deal with. It does have an MOT to September 2012 though and with a bit of effort, could be a star of a classic car event. |
Our Adventure is About to Begin Wallpaper Posted: 31 Oct 2011 04:56 AM PDT

Look closely at the design and you will see that some of the birds are carrying a word from the design's title in their beaks. The wallpaper is available in three colours: Sky Blue, Chalky Violet or Afternoon Green. It costs £50 per roll from the Mini Moderns Shoppe. |
Vintage Tomytronic Sky Attack Console Posted: 31 Oct 2011 04:53 AM PDT
Originally released in 1983, the game was inspired by the original Tron film. The aim of the game is to guide your tank and destroy enemy aircraft flying overhead. Like the Donkey Kong game we featured a few weeks ago, this is undoubtedly on sale for a good whack more than it cost in the 1980s (even taking into account inflation!), but rather than trawling ebay or vintage shops, it could worth it for the ease of buying it from Urban Outfitters. It costs £70 from Urban Outfitters. |

This Street decanter by Orrefors is an excellent starting point for the budding high class retro lush. The art deco-style decanter is inspired by the Manhattan street network, resulting in the stylised geometric crystal cut design, and is finished with a square, black stopper. Fill with your tipple of choice, grab a chair and get lounging. £199 from Skandium. There's also a matching ice bucket and tumblers available in the range. See the website for more details. |
