We take the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett for granted these days, but once upon a time he was a mystery rather than a precocious pouting kid with adorable wavy air. Created by Joe Johnston (of Captain America - The First Avenger fame), Boba Fett was a new character who fans of Star Wars back in 1978 were excited to see thanks to the mail away promotion.

Here he is in 1980, finally made available for the shelf.

But what's the real secret origin story of Boba? To coincide with his anniversary on June 28th (yes, I am late), here is a candid glimpse of the character's big reveal in his glory, beach towel cape and all.
