Part traditional pulp crime 'whodunnit' with touches of Blade Runner, this is a remarkably fresh short sci fi flick. With so many projects that are built on the shoulders of other ideas or adaptations of comic books, previous movies, etc, it's refreshing to see something new. A tale that uses the trappings of science fiction to ask the question 'what does it mean to be human?' The Final Moments of Karl Brant is an achievement in sci-fi that is sure to set the web afire.
Oh and Paul Reubens is stellar.
Set in the near future where experimental technology allows two detectives to bring a murder victim back to life in a digital state in order to question him about his final moments.
Written and directed by M. Francis Wilson
