Glee In 60 Seconds Video | The Story So Far Posted: 19 Apr 2010 11:28 AM PDT Love it or hate it, you can’t escape from Glee at the moment. It’s everywhere, with the Web especially being full of video clips of the show, memorable quotes from the series, and interviews with the cast members. However, what if you’ve missed out on the whole phenomenon so far? Is it too late to catch up? Never. Just watch this Glee In 60 Seconds video to be all caught up with what the show is all about.
OK, so this is a spoof video, talking the piss out of Glee. However, it does kind of work as a story so far of the first season, which could enable people to skip straight to Season 2. As a fan of Glee, I wouldn’t recommend skipping Season 1, because if you do, you’ll miss out on some brilliant cover versions of both classic and forgotten songs. Believe me, it’s worth the effort. |
Country Music Awards 2010 Video | ACM Awards Preview – Hosted By Reba McEntire Posted: 19 Apr 2010 06:28 AM PDT Last night saw the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards held in Las Vegas. The show was hosted by veteran country singer Reba McEntire, and the winners came from all corners of the country music genre. Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions, rather than a video of the actual show, this is the best I could find – a promotional preview of the show. Still, it shows most of the people who were present and nominated.
This was the 45th annual Country Music Awards. Carrie Underwood was the big winner on the night, walking away with the ‘Entertainer Of The Year’ award (for the second year in a row) and the ‘Triple-Crown’ award. Other big winners included Lady Antebellum, whose single Need You Now won two awards, and Miranda Lambert, who won ‘Female Vocalist Of The Year’ and ‘Album Of The Year (for Revolution). |
Larry King Freaks Out Over Weed (Video) | Willie Nelson High On CNN Posted: 18 Apr 2010 09:22 PM PDT Willie Nelson was on Larry King Live earlier this week and this clip has been making waves due to Larry King’s little “freak out.” Judging by his reaction, I’m pretty sure Larry has never touched “the pot” before.
And as for the finger-wave at the end of this video; that’s just icing on the cake. |
Watch Young Betty White Sing ‘Nevertheless I Love You’ Classic Music Video Posted: 18 Apr 2010 09:00 PM PDT Watch this classic, black and white 1954 clip of a younger Betty White singing a wonderful song… Having only known her with her hair all white, it is interesting to see – and especially hear – Betty White as a younger woman. I never knew she could sing! Now in her 80s, it’s obvious that all that talent has carried her through a wonderful, full career. I would not be surprised to see her make a comeback of some sort. Can you imagine Betty White hosting the next Survivor or Big Brother? Now that would be one thing to make me start watching reality television. |
Watch Laura Bell Bundy’s ‘Drop On By’ Country Music Video Posted: 18 Apr 2010 08:27 PM PDT Actress Laura Bell Bundy, likely best known for her role as Elle Woods in the Broadway hit Legally Blonde, is shaking up the country music scene with Drop On By and Giddy on Up. I wonder if her next song will have ‘on’ as the middle word in a three word title as well. She may be a more recent addition to the country music arena, but that doesn’t mean she was excluded from the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards. While some found her ACM appearance to be less ideal, concentrating more on movement than her vocal chords, she is still a new favourite to many. |
Crazy Australian Dog Man News Video | Uncanny Impersonation of Rabid Dogs Posted: 18 Apr 2010 05:23 PM PDT Ray Graham is an ordinary man who became an internet sensation after being interviewed by Australian news program A Current Affair on the dogs in his local neighborhood. Ray really does lose himself in the moment, snarling and growling as convincingly as any dog might. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion this display would send any dog running with his tail between his legs! Ray’s found global fame from this display, but let’s spare a thought for his poor wife who’s standing stoically by his side! |
