Charlie Brooker Spoofs The News Video | Newswipe Mimics Every Modern News Report

Charlie Brooker has a knack of hitting the nail on the head with intense accuracy. Whether he’s critiquing the news, current affairs, television, society, or video games, he tells it like it is in an insightful and highly amusing manner.

This video show Brooker demonstrating how every news report looks and feels these days. And it’s spot-on, although I hadn’t ever thought about it while watching the actual news. It takes a genius like Brooker to point it out to me.

There are a couple of genius lines – “Ignoring all the pricks milling around him like he’s gliding through the fucking Matrix,” – but it’s the pointless vox pops about pointless vox pops which had me howling with laughter.

This segment is from Charlie Brooker’s Newswipe, which is currently enjoying its second series on BBC4, and it’s well worth watching. Not only is it entertaining and funny, it’s informative as well. What more could you ask for?

Kim Burrell BET Honors 2010 Video | Gospel Jazz Vocalist Sings For Whitney Houston

The BET Honors 2010, the third annual gathering of its kind, was held last night. Amongst others, Queen Latifah, P. Diddy, and Whitney Houston were honored.

Part of the honor laid on for Whitney was a performance of I Believe In You and Me by Kim Burrell, which can be seen, and more importantly heard, in the video above.

Burrell is a gospel jazz singer who is much loved and revered by many divas, Whitney included. Neo introduced Burrell on to the stage, and Whitney remained standing at the front clearly enraptured throughout.

If I’m honest, I didn’t think Burrell did that great. She has talent, granted, but she’s hardly world class. Maybe there’s something I’m not seeing, especially as I’d never heard of the woman before seeing this video.

Well, I have to say I am impressed. This is the first time I have seen a clean, cleanse, detox, whatever that actually will have good healthy benefit for your body.

The majority of the world is addicted to sugar – especially refined white sugar – but plenty people just aren’t aware. Not addicted? Why not try this cleanse and see if you go through withdrawal symptoms.

While I’m sure this will be a difficult cleanse (mostly because of the addiction), I am more than happy to try it.

I have watched this more than once, and every time I laugh out loud. There is just something about randomly stumbling on some weird technology thing that cracks me up.

The guy who is doing it sounds like a complete ass starting out, but by the end, he sounds a little startled. Of course, that makes it even funnier.

I think what I love most about this is that we should know what’s coming, but the video is so quick that we don’t get time to think about it.

So we can just laugh.

Embarrasing Dave Matthews Grammy Dance (Video) | Elaine Benes Anyone?

I nearly died laughing the other night when Dave Matthews whipped out his “Jimmy Legs” (as some of his fans call it). The “dance move” was so unexpected and goofy that it reminded me of Elaine Benes from Seinfeld.

Luckily someone was gracious enough to pair the two off in a compilation video- sort of a fictional dance off if you will. Rush Limbaugh may have some real competition.

The saying “white people can’t dance” has never been more true. I’ve been listening to Dave Matthews for years and this is the first time I saw this weird little jig. For another video of his crazy dancing check below…

At first, it appears as if Rush is having another heart-attack. But, unfortunately, I’ve come to find out that this is actually his dancing style.

Who knew Lady Gaga’s biggest fan was conservative? The next time I hear “Poker Face” on the radio I don’t think I’ll be able to hold a straight face.

This clip is taken from the preliminary judging at the Miss America 2010 pageant. The footage never aired on TV (for obvious reasons), but it sure makes a great viral video. Shame on you MTV for trying to hide this!
