Hank Johnson Views On Guam Video | Republican Makes Prize Fool Of Himself

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 11:10 AM PDT

Republican congressman Hank Johnson has managed to do the unthinkable: make himself look an even bigger fool than all politicians already do.

How has he managed this? By postulating that the island of Guam could tip over and capsize if its population grows too large. Oh. My. God.

Johnson made the comments in this video during a House Armed Services Committee hearing last week.

Speaking to Adm. Robert Willard, head of the U.S. Pacific fleet, about a planned military buildup on the island, Johnson expresses his fears that this could cause the island to literally sink.

A spokesman for the congressman has since stated Johnson was speaking figuratively rather than literally, but I don’t believe that for a second. And this man is paid to help run the United States of America. Wow.

April Fool’s Day Recipes Video | Desserts Which Look Like Mains To Fool The Family

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 08:44 AM PDT

Today is April 1, otherwise known as April Fool’s Day. the Web is absolutely awash with April Fool’s Day pranks, as it is each and every year.

But something I haven’t seen previously is April Fool’s day recipes. I mean, food is food, right? Wrong, as one foodstuff can be cleverly disguised as another with the right ingredients and a little bit of knowhow.

This video shows Food Network magazine editor Maile Carpenter (I don’t think her name is an April Fool, but don’t quote me on it) showing off some desserts which have been made to look like well-known main courses.

These all work extremely well, although some better than others. I don’t think I would spot the fried ice cream pretending to be crab cakes. But the sushi is a little easier to fathom.

Try these on your family and friends, if you have confidence that they won’t get upset at being hoodwinked.

Awesome Pink Floyd’s ‘Money’ Meets NES Video | Dark Side of the Nintendo

Posted: 31 Mar 2010 04:48 PM PDT

Pink Floyd’s ‘Money’ from their ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ album gets a new flavor when rendered with Nintendo sounds…

And I thought Money as a ring tone was the coolest thing.

Not only do I love this song, I love this whole soundtrack. The beauty of this is that it looks like the maker of this video has gone ahead and transferred (rendered? redubbed?) other Pink Floyd songs as well.

Nintendo meets Pink Floyd! It’s like my marriage all over again. Ahem.

I do have to wonder if any of the actual members of Pink Floyd will ever find these videos and what they will think of them…

Watch Funny April Fools Day Office Pranks Video | Quick & Easy Tricks

Posted: 31 Mar 2010 04:28 PM PDT

Looking for some fun and easy pranks to do around the office this April Fools Day? Well, this is just the video for you.

These are the kind of April Fools Day jokes I don’t mind. Not messy, not mean and able to give everyone a laugh.

The fart machine is a classic that will almost always go over well, but I find the moving flag one to be the funniest. Way to make someone think they are going crazy.

If everyone did pranks like these (harmless and actually funny to the person being pranked), then maybe I wouldn’t hate April Fools Day so much…

Father Unintentionally Makes Son Cry Video | Losiah Learns He’s Not a Single Lady

Posted: 31 Mar 2010 04:08 PM PDT

In this video little Losiah learns the harsh truth: he is not a single lady.

This gorgeous bub was quite happy grooving to Beyonce's hit “Single Ladies” with his sisters until his father Carlos shattered his dream. It took just six words to break this smiling tot’s heart: “You are not a single lady.”

Of course, Carlos is correct but that matters naught to Losiah or anyone else in the car. They attempt to pacify him, assuring him that he can be a single lady if he wants to. After all, there are operations to make it happen. But Losiah is having none of it.

So is Carlos really a terrible father, or is it about time that Losiah learned about the cruel realities of life?

Web Series Combines Pimp My Ride & Project Runway | Scion’s ‘Reinvent The Wheels’

Posted: 31 Mar 2010 02:42 PM PDT

If you’re a fan of concept cars then Scion’s new show Reinvent The Wheels may become your latest vice.

The concept is simple: 3 different car designers team up with professional garages to make the most creative car. At the end, the winner takes home $30,000.

With prize money in the tens of thousands, right-off-the-bat you know this show will be a step above most web series; the budget is big enough to afford a host and 3 judges. In fact, I could easily picture this show on cable if the episodes weren’t 7 minutes long.

As of yet, only the first of all 6 episodes have been released. Scion’s aren’t usually known for being muscle cars, but the designs look promising. It’s bound to be exciting when the Pimp My Ride aspect of the show kicks in.

Episode 1

This is the first episode which premiered last night. Like most reality shows, it’s the personality of the cast that makes it interesting.

Why Did Sandra Bullock File For Divorce? (Video) | Tiger Woods All Over Again

Posted: 31 Mar 2010 02:03 PM PDT

Tiger Woods may be in the womanizing lead with his number of mistresses, but Sanda Bullock’s (former) husband Jesse James comes in a close second with five.

Of course, the worst part about it is that Bullock found out about the scandal from a tabloid. Ouch!

Jesse James, who you may recognize from shows like Monster Garage and Celebrity Apprentice tells the press that he is currently in sex rehab to address his “poor judgment.”

I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. After all, Jesse has had two previous marriages and children with both. If you ask me Bullock should have expected something like this.
