Andy Irons Documentary Video | 3-Times World Champion Surfer Dies In Hotel Room

Posted: 03 Nov 2010 08:49 AM PDT

Andy Irons, 3-times world champion surfer, has been found dead in his Dallas hotel room. The cause of death is as yet unknown.

I know nothing about surfing, but after watching just a couple of videos of Andy Irons in action I can tell he was one of the best to ever take part in the sport. Which is why he won the world championship consecutively from 2002-2004.

Unfortunately, Irons has died at the tender age of just 32. He’d been suffering from dengue fever and is thought to have been taking methadone to relieve the pain. It’s possible, though not confirmed, that an overdose was the cause of death.

Whatever the cause of death, Irons will be remembered instead for his creative and inventive style of surfing which thrilled all who saw him in action.

Watch Funny Math Teacher Pull Halloween Computer Prank Video | Haunted PC Problems

A frustrated math teacher does what he can to troubleshoot his haunted computer…

Man, can you imagine how much time it took to work out the animation, timing, props, etc? Well done, sir!

I had a few creative teachers and professors in my time, but nothing quite like this. (Probably because we didn’t have decent computers in my school until I was in 7th or 8th grade.)

I love it when teachers have a bit of fun. They have such incredible jobs – especially if they aspire to do it well.

And, hopefully no one is reading this before watching the video, my favourite part has to be when his PC turns into a Mac. Love it.

Watch Will California Legalize Marijuana with Proposition 19? News Video

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:23 PM PDT

The United States is watching with interest to see whether or not California people will legalize marijuana through proposition 19.

As much as the one fellow likes to talk about enforcing the standard drug policy, I don’t think Californians are really going to care if this gets put through.

At the moment, I would be surprised if it actually went through. Not terribly. I’d like to see it happen. Still, it is quite the radical shift to take in the United States.

Maybe some people from Amsterdam could fly over and tell them what it’s like to have marijuana legalized in the system.

Amazing Blind Dog Born Without Eyes Video | Pup Barks to Navigate World

This video tells the inspirational story of Rowan, a German Spitz born without eyes. His owners were heartbroken when they learned of their new pup’s fate, but they didn’t count on Rowan’s determination.

This congenital defect might have kept any other dog down, but not Rowan. He learned to use echolocation to get around. He barks and listens for the echoes to tell him just where he is, and where any hazards are.

This extraordinary way of getting about the world means that now Rowan is almost indistinguishable from any sighted dog. He also seems to be every bit as happy.

Funny Soulja Boy Parody Music Video | Is ‘Short Bus Shorty’ Dumbest Rap Song Ever?

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 12:32 PM PDT

I haven’t really listened to mainstream hip-hop since high school, but whenever I get the urge to tune into a “hip-hop” radio station I’m instantly disappointed by the dumb rhymes that are being played.

This parody titled “Short Bus Shorty” makes fun of every one from Gucci Mane to Soulja Boy in the worst way possible. Get ready to get ignant!

I’m so glad that the creators of this video put in Wacka Flacka Flame at the end of this- it’s probably my favorite verse of the entire song. This video already has more than 9 million views and is more popular than most of these “artists’” original songs.

I hope more of these parodies will come out for educational purposes. Anyone growing up on the mainstream junk needs to realize how stupid this “bling bling” generation of rap is.

Hollywood Stars Support Prop 19 (Video) | Rosario Dawson, Sting, David Cross

Posted: 02 Nov 2010 12:23 PM PDT

Today is the day that marijuana might become legal for adults over 21 on the California state level. Voting will be taking place all day and the results are too close to currently tell which side will win. Nevertheless, some big-name stars are “coming out” in support.

It’s pretty obvious what side Hollywood is on. With the exception of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the majority of celebrities who have commented on Prop 19 have expressed their support. Even those that don’t officially state which side are tweeting for their followers to “vote!”

Snoop Dogg is a pretty obvious name that keeps popping up, but I wouldn’t have expected Sting or Rosario Dawson to take a stand. While the DEA has expressed that they will continue their old policies on the federal level even if it passes, I doubt they can police an entire state.
