Joaquin Phoenix Letterman Interview Video | Affleck Admits ‘I’m Still Here’ Is A Hoax Posted: 17 Sep 2010 07:08 AM PDT You’ve probably already seen this video once, having watched Joaquin Phoenix being interviewed on Letterman when it first aired. However, it’s definitely worth watching again now that we know the whole thing was part of an act, a character, Phoenix was playing for fake breakdown documentary I’m Still Here.
That’s right folks, I’m Still Here is and always was a hoax. But director of the documentary and friend of Phoenix, Casey Affleck, has taken his time in admitting the truth, waiting until the film was released before confessing. He’s now told The New York Times:
Yeah, whatever. Still, I must admit this is quite some performance, and if anything it shows how good an actor Phoenix actually is. I now wouldn’t trust him or Affleck as far as I could throw them, but as for acting and directing they clearly know what they’re doing. |
Watch Maryland Johns Hopkins Hospital Shooting Breaking News Video Posted: 16 Sep 2010 06:53 PM PDT Plenty of drama happened earlier at Maryland’s Johns Hopkins Hospital when a man shot a doctor and then later turned the gun on his mother and himself. It is reported that confusion reigned during the incident with mixed up reports about whether the suspect had been apprehended and even whether his name was right. However, the details are now being straightened out. The initial shooting was reported about 11 am, according to reports, and a doctor had been shot. The suspect holed himself up in his room. Paul Warren Pardus was named as the suspect by late afternoon, found dead with a woman they believe to be his mother. More details can be found at CNN. |
Cute Dancing Girl Inspires a Flash Mob Video | Adorable Happy Dance Routine Posted: 16 Sep 2010 04:21 PM PDT Take one cute tiny tot dancing and you’ve got a fun, but not very memorable, video. Add a few adults busting out the same moves and you’ve got something special. When a dance is this catchy, you just have to join in! This simple video is so enjoyable, if you don’t end up smiling once it’s done you’re probably not a fan of rainbows and puppies! |
Watch Motorway Madness Mystery BBC Documentary Video | Swedish Eriksson Twins Run in M6 Traffic Posted: 16 Sep 2010 04:00 PM PDT “In 2008, BBC cameras filmed two Swedish sisters throwing themselves into traffic on the M6. The footage was shocking. Now, two years later, this documentary reveals the full story of the hours just before the cameras captured that motorway footage, and the even more chilling story of what happened [next...]“ It is hard to find the words to talk about this video. I watched all four parts and still find myself… unsatisfied. Then again, who could be with no real answers as to why the sisters did what they did? Hopefully Sabina has to undergo a psych evaluation before she is released. |
New Twitter UI Video | Social Networking Site Gains All-New Two-Pane User Interface Posted: 16 Sep 2010 03:28 PM PDT Twitter.com is undergoing a major makeover. The user interface is being severely tweaked, and all users will have access to the new UI within the next few weeks. This video gives a brief look at the new UI, but only after you’ve sat through some artistic crap designed to build on the brand.
The majority of people still access Twitter, both for reading tweets and tweeting themselves, via the website. So a new design and new features were well overdue. The new Twitter looks fantastic; a vast improvement on the old one. The two-pane design changes the site from one that annoys and frustrates into one that should please most people. I doubt we’ve seen the last of the fabled Fail Whale, but the new Twitter should make it appear on a rarer basis. |
