Eating Poop Soup Video | Leftovers Galore

Posted: 27 Sep 2010 11:57 AM PDT

Thankfully the concoction these weird people are eating isn’t feces as you may have imagined from the title. But for all the nutritional value and flavor it contains then it may as well be.

Basically these people had finished their regular meals and decided to create an extra course; one made up of all the ingredients and foodstuffs they could find on the table in front of them. Et voila, poop soup.

I give kudos to the two girls who taste this crap because I don’t think I could. Even watching the video made me want to be sick. I think it’s the texture, with lumps galore, that truly put me off.

Having said all that it would be great if this started some kind of craze, with everyone making a poop soup of all their leftovers at the end of a meal. Wasteful? Clearly. Funny? Definitely.

The Mist Movie Review Video | Frank Darabont Takes On Stephen King Story

Posted: 27 Sep 2010 06:47 AM PDT

Can a mist rolling in towards you be scary? I guess so, especially when it contains something not altogether human.

The Mist was originally a book by Stephen King which has since been made into a movie by Frank Darabont. He wrote and directed the film version, and even changed the ending with King’s blessing.

The film was released in 2007, so I’m not quite sure why it’s back in the news again. But it is. I guess it’s been, or is being, shown on U.S. television for the first time.

This reviewer really likes The Mist. But I didn’t. I thought it was a little boring, and it had a feeling of being a B-movie without actually descending to that preposterous level.

Still, each to their own I guess.

Watch Psywar: The Battlefield Is Your Mind Documentary Video | Lies, Propaganda & Misinformation

Posted: 27 Sep 2010 01:06 AM PDT

The news these days is just as much of a production as the advertisements you see on television, but do you truly realize just how much you are being shown only what ‘they’ want you to see?

Conspiracy theorists have long been pushed aside as nutters that have nothing of value to say, but with the increasingly disturbing revelations that are coming out, it’s hard not to think something bigger is going on.

This documentary is just one more finger pointing at the game that is being played. Don’t think there are games going on? Take a look at ’subliminal advertising’ on YouTube and then tell me there are no games.

Hopefully enough people start caring about this stuff to do something about it.

Watch Jon Stewart on Oprah Interview Part One Video

Jon Stewart from The Daily Show gets interviewed on Oprah, starting off with a discussion on his Rally to Restore Sanity and other hot button political issues.

I love The Daily Show, but I have to say that I have really been enjoying watching Jon Stewart talking on other shows. It’s not a surprise that he’s the most trusted name in news.

He has such a calm, rational but realistic way of talking about the way the US is working. And he is actually doing something to try to help fix things.

I hope his rally has some real impact.

Watch Eastbound & Down Season Two Trailer Video | Kenny Powers is Back

Posted: 26 Sep 2010 08:05 PM PDT

Former MLB pitcher Kenny Powers is back in the second HBO series starring Danny McBride and Will Farell.

Season one ended with Kenny leaving his high school sweetheart’s belongings (with her inside the shop) on the side of the road and driving off without her.

Season two picks up with Kenny – now known as Steve – living in Mexico, playing for a Mexican professional baseball team, running a cockfighting ring and saying things like, “You pay Steve when his cock wins.”

As you can imagine, all the immature humor has been a big hit with younger audiences, prompting HBO to keep it for another season.

Sally Chatfield “The X Factor Australia” Video | Teen Rocks Out with Evanescence

Posted: 26 Sep 2010 05:32 PM PDT

Australia’s X Factor competition kicked it up a notch tonight as the contestants sang songs from their own musical heroes. Sally Chatfield again proved why she’s got a shot at the title with her take on Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life.”

Sally has given us so many big diva ballads, it was refreshing to see her singing something with more of a rock tone. Again you couldn’t fault her emotional connection to the song, but this is definitely something more befitting her emo look.

I’d hate to restrict her any one genre, but this kind of music is a great fit for this promising young star.

McDonald’s Sasuke Toy Video | Fast Food Toy Becomes Legendary In Japan and Taiwan

Posted: 26 Sep 2010 12:27 PM PDT

Back in July, in Japan and Taiwan, McDonald’s released a toy based on Sasuke from the immensely popular anime series Naruto. And it’s become something of a phenomenon, but not for the reason it was intended to.

The Sasuke toy was designed to do a back-flip when the body is pushed down. And it does, kind of. The problem is it rarely makes it all the way over, ending up lying on its side and making Sasuke look far from heroic.

However, that fail has been turned into a win after people started noticing how good the Sasuke toy was for balancing things on. The design of the head and the stance of the figure combining to great effect.

The legend of Sasuke and his neat balancing trick has become so big that even news channels are reporting on it, as this video shows. And it’s all free publicity for McDonald’s, the lucky swines.
