Starcraft II Launch Trailer Video | Wings Of Liberty PC Game From Blizzard Entertainment Posted: 27 Jul 2010 08:44 AM PDT Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty is the long-awaited sequel to the original Starcraft which was released in 1998. It’s available for PC and Mac, and has been developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. This video is the launch trailer, which features some of the impressive cinematics. I must admit it looks great, but can the storyline and gameplay live up to the hype of the visuals?
Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty is a real-time strategy game with military science fiction at its core. As is the norm these days, there are also a couple of expansion packs. Starcraft II’s are named Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. The game has so far gained mixed reviews from critics. The good things are the action-packed gameplay and the aforementioned graphics, but the multiplayer options are very limited and haven’t scored well. |
Watch Justin Beiber Plays Bad Boy & ‘Arrested’ on CSI Celebrity News Video Posted: 26 Jul 2010 07:45 PM PDT Justin Bieber has recently sent out a Twitterpic of himself being arrested on the set of CSI where he will be playing a bad boy in his cameo role. Whether you love him or loathe him, you have likely heard of the teen sensation’s name. You’re not likely to forget it anytime soon, as he moves into the world of acting. Will the young celebrity move on to more acting roles and more bad boy parts? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see. To catch the episode of CSI, tune into CBS on September 23rd. Then you can be the judge of whether or not he shouldn’t quit his day job. |
“The Goon” Animated Zombie Trailer Debuts at Comic Con Video Posted: 26 Jul 2010 04:37 PM PDT Nerds flock to Comic Con in San Diego each year to get a jump on the next big things in pop culture. But it’s rare to see the festival screening a trailer for a film that hasn’t even been made yet. That makes this preview of The Goon even more special. David Fincher is in the producer’s chair, and Paul Giamatti’s already lending his voice to the project. The Goon is also an adaptation of an Eric Powell comic book, and since Hollywood rarely has original ideas these days that also ticks a box. I like the quirk factor of this one, and hope we see a feature film eventuate! |
iBreak iPhone App Video | Testing Manliness Posted: 26 Jul 2010 03:57 PM PDT I don’t own an iPhone. I just don’t make enough phone calls to warrant the expense in buying and keeping a smartphone. However, if I did own one, I’d get hold of this app because it looks brilliant.
This app is called iBreak, for the very simple reason that once installed you can make it look as though your iPhone screen is broken by simply blowing on it. The video suggests a practical use for iBreak, with a woman testing the manliness of her potential conquest for the night. She makes his iPhone appear smashed and waits for his reaction. He cries like a baby, suggesting he’s not a keeper. There is one problem with this, obviously, and that is you have to install the app on the man’s iPhone before you can pull the trick off. Still, we’ll let that go because it’s a clever ad for a clever app. |
