MY LAST VISIT WITH THE MADHATTER...

Posted: 09 Jan 2011 03:29 PM PST

Richard Blondy Hatter Photos

Just love this photo of Hatter taken by Richard Blondy recently. He is wearing two Madhatter buttons that my daughter Lesley created for him. A red one right under his left hand and a green Hatter right above his left wrist. He made the handwritten button at the same time he made my Baby Jesus button.

Hatter brought Lesley and I yellow Rosaries in July 2010 from the Art Fair. He also gave me a camel colored rosary when he was here in November but I cannot find them. In November our last gig together was at The Motor City Legends Show at Gibraltar in Taylor but our last thing we did together was visit Jenny's Farm Stand in Dexter.

No idea why I left my camera bag at home but sadly I did. Hatter had never been to Jenny's Farm Stand in Dexter. We got out of the car and the market was deserted except for us and a whole bunch of chickens! Hatter immediately found a friendly one and picked it up. Hey the chicken loved him just like everyone else!

Lesley's Madhatter and RK buttons

We split a dozen fresh warm pumpkin donuts and Hatter bought two quarts of cider. When I dropped him off to go to the lab for tests he gave me all his donuts save 1 and a quart of cider for Lesley. sigh... Our last day together was sunny and warm almost 60 degrees in November.

Hatter called to see if I was home and (I was) and he came over for a few hours. He autographed some posters for me, played with the cats and then went cruising around in the jeep with Hatter at the wheel. He loved driving my Jeep Liberty. It would be the last ride we'd take together. He drove the Jeep everywhere we went since we met and he loved wheeling around Metro Detroit always asking me, "Did ya check your tires?" Yes Hatter, I did check them on Jan 02, 2011 at 12:30pm.

I KNOW I'M LOSING YOU : FACES AND THE TEMPTATIONS

The Faces 1971

What a great video I found today of Rod Stewart singing "I'm Losing You" a cover of (I Know) I'm Losing You" a 1966 hit single recorded by The Temptations for the Motown label and produced by the absolutely magical Norman Whitfield.

Ron Wood, Rod Stewart, Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones had such a fantastic band. My favorite Faces album is "A Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse" Fabulous record!

Temptations version

* Lead vocals: David Ruffin
* Background vocals: Eddie Kendricks, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams, Otis Williams
* Guitar: Cornelius Grant
* Other instrumentation: The Funk Brothers

WHO STOLE MARK FARNER'S PARKER FLY GUITAR??

MISSING Mark Farner's Parker Fly (Tiger Striped)

Mark Farner's "Tiger" striped Parker-Fly guitar is missing or rather it's been stolen from Mark's dressing room at the Chicago's House Of Blues November 21st at 329 North Dearborn St. Chicago IL 60654

The tiger-striped Parker wasn't Mark's primary guitar but it was so unique. It went missing from Mark's dressing room Sunday night after the Rock Fantasy Camp finale.

Mark is really saddened by this loss. 2010 was a very tough year on the Farner family with the injury of Lesia and Mark's son Jesse (Prayers for Jesse Farner) and now this major insult. This thief plain infuriates me. Where do they think they are going to sell this legendary guitar?

So let's all keep our eyes open for Mark's Parker Fly online or on Ebay or anywhere else for sale. Share these above photos of it... so we can stop this creepy person(s) who committed this crime. Mucho bad Kharma to whomever they are....

[New post] The Avengers battle Kang the Conqueror in their latest animated adventure!

The Avengers battle Kang the Conqueror in their latest animated adventure!

After being glimpsed briefly in the 18th micro-sode, the warrior from the 41st Century has arrived to battle the Avengers. Kang is the despotic time-traveling ruler of a future kingdom that is being threatened by events in the past. It has been established that Steve Rogers holds some special place in history that causes the chronal warlord some trouble, so things don't look good for the shield-slinger.

From the trailer, it appears that the team is also wearing some Stark tech armor (read: toy tie-in).
