Climbing Fail Video | Drunk Guy Falls Through Car Windscreen While Using Roof As Booster

Posted: 21 Apr 2010 10:59 AM PDT

I’m constantly amazed by the stupidity on display every single day on the Internet. Thanks to YouTube, we now get to see more douchebaggery than ever before, and it makes me worried for the future of the human race.

This guy is clearly drunk, as can be seen by his slow, deliberate movements and the complete lack of awareness he shows for his surroundings or the risks he’s taking as he climbs all over someone’s car.

His intention is to join his mate to get a better view of the victory parade which is due to sail past. Instead, he ends up slipping and falling arse-first into the windscreen, smashing it completely.

The guy seems OK, unlike the windscreen. If that was my car, and I came back to find a douchebag-shaped hole in it, I’d be mad. Then I’d see this video on the Web and be even madder.

Crystal Bowersox – ‘People Get Ready’ Video | American Idol Season 9 Finalist Sings, Cries

Posted: 21 Apr 2010 06:55 AM PDT

I’m not overly impressed with this year’s American Idol contestants. And that goes for Crystal Bowersox as well, even though she seems to be the favorite of both the public and the judges.

This week saw Bowersox perform People Get Ready by The Impressions. She belted out the song, and ended up in tears.

Most people are impressed with the performance and not at all cynical about the tears. But I’m a little less believing they were genuine, having become more cynical than ever over Simon Cowell’s brand of reality TV shows.

Take away the tears, and was the performance actually any good? It was average, at best. Maybe I’m being overly harsh but it certainly didn’t blow me away.

Watch 1000 Years of War in Five Minutes Video | Battlefield Earth

This would be fascinating if it weren’t so depressingly true…

Okay, I still find it fascinating because I’ve always had a thing for history, but this video is still incredibly depressing.

Not only have we – the human race – killed each other so many times, the video has ‘to be continued’ at the end of it.

If that’s not a reason to feel sad for the human race, I’m not sure what else is.

The music is “Ride Of The Valkyries” which is appropriate and yet, I wonder if it is a bit flippant. I suppose it’s all in how your personal background fits the music.

Watch Apple Earnings Talk News Video | iPhone Sales on Fire

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 06:01 PM PDT

Apple company stock owners are cheering today as Apple earnings soar beyond expectation – largely due to an even bigger iPhone trend than they anticipated.

I almost hate to see Apple do so well on the market just because they are often so hoity toity about their products and how good they are.

Is the iPhone impressive? Yes. Would I rather have something else? Definitely.

But, as usual, Apple depends on becoming a trend and using that popularity. And this time, it would appear that they have won in that department.

I think I’ll stick to what I have. I don’t need all those time-wasting apps, thanks.

Cute Puppy Confused By Mobile Phone Video | Where’s His Owner?

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 05:39 PM PDT

Poor Harvey. This adorable boxer pup can hear his owner, but where is she?

Harvey is very confused as his owner greets him down the phone. Is she trapped inside the tiny box? Or is she perhaps in the garden?

The other human does nothing to clarify things for this puzzled pup. He simply eggs him on, delighting in his perplexed puppy eyes and mystified expression?

Perhaps this is a new kind of pet torture for the digital age. Keep the owners just out of reach and watch as the pets are slowly driven mad!

Cruel it might be, but it’s also very cute!

This Is Your Brain On Google (Video) | Internet Use De-Evolving Our Brains?

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 03:47 PM PDT

According to one leading brain researcher, the use of Facebook, cellphones, and Google is leading to de-evolution of our brains.

I find it very convenient that he’s managed to write an entire book called iBrain that “proves” his theory.

Those that remember the TV research studies done years ago will probably find this concept very familiar. Every time some new technology develops, there’s always an “evil” associated with it.

If the internet is bad for our brains, then TV and radio would have to be worse. If you ask me this is an obvious book plug with even more obvious observations in our new tech-related society.

I don’t need the news to tell me that people have become less social.

Basketball Dunk Fail Video | Cocky Dude Thinks He Can Leap Over Four Girls… He Can’t

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 12:22 PM PDT

As a quiet, laid-back, unadventurous type of guy, I love seeing arrogant, cocky douchebags make prats of themselves. And this guy fits the bill perfectly.

This dude thinks he is it, the man, someone we should all look up to. With his shirt off, and “way with the ladies,” he thinks he is God’s gift to us all. But he’s not. He’s nothing, no one, a complete failure.

He claims he can vault four girls and make the dunk. So he lines them up, has a practice run in which he gives the one at the front a cheeky kiss, and then prepares to fly.

Unfortunately, although he clears the first three, the fourth girl gets his crotch right in her face, as he takes her out with his scrotum. He’s embarrassed, she’s gobsmacked, and the rest of us are left laughing at a cocky twat losing his mojo.
