Philips

Not the rarest '70s record player, but this Philips 100 22AF100 portable record player is well worth a look for the right price.

In a shade of yellow/orange, it plays 33 and 45 records, with the speaker built into the lid and the whole thing easy to pack up and carry around like a small suitcase.

It's described as having a 'very good sound' and is in 'used but very good' condition. A couple of days left for bidding, but right now it's just £3.21.

Vanillafrosting

For instant sixties impact, outerwear that's sharp and structural is always a winning choice, and a look that's been done to great effect by many modern designers. This Vanilla Frosting Coat from Moon Collection pulls off undeniable retro chic that'll transform any outfit.

The coat's vintage inspiration is clearly seen in the cut and silhouette, with a subtle a-line shape that falls to the mid thigh. The double breasted buttons and mandarin collar provide structural impact, bringing in some of the exotic influence seen across later sixties fashion.

Patch Print Folk Blouse from Oasis

Folkprint

Now that the high street's obsession with the early 1960s is passing, trends are moving towards a wider variety of vintage influences. New from Oasis is their 70s Love Story line, channeling Kate Hudson in Almost Famous.

This Patch Print Folk Blouse is one of the more convincing pieces from the line, with the combination of patchwork prints stepping away from more clichéd choices. The chiffon fabric creates the flowing seventies folk silhouette, carrying a print that manages to be structured yet busy.

It's available now from Oasis for £35.

Vicky Scott Retro-Inspired Prints

Illustrator Vicky Scott does a nice line in retro-inspired prints, such as this one, 60s Chick.

Not in the same league by any means as the Shag illustrations, but also not in the same price range as those either, Vicky's designs offer retro artwork at affordable prices. She lists her influences as 1920s art deco, 60s psychedelia and Art Noveau, which sounds good to me. Her designs are created as handmade paper collages, which are scanned before being printed onto high quality archival paper. Prices start at £25 for small prints. View her collection at her store on Not on the High Street.

Apollo table by Stuart Melrose

Posted: 18 Jan 2011 04:57 AM PST

Apollo
If you name your table Apollo, you'd almost certainly expect it to have a space age feel. Stuart Melrose's design doesn't disappoint on that front. Its curvy lines, clean white surfaces and tinted glass all give it that distinctive look.

However, the table has also used more recent developments in construction and unexpected material to create that look. Melrose works with both boat design and roofing technology to create his furniture. It's also made from Corian, a blend of natural materials and acrylic polymer - fittingly invented in the 1960s.

The tables are individually made to order and are limited to 300 in total. As you may have guessed this all adds up to a pretty hefty price tay. The exact price? £3450.

Charlatans is a new range of cards from two of our favourites, Darling Clementine designing for nineteenseventythree.

The card range includes 16 new designs that are packed full of retro charm. Each card focuses on a different dubious character, that you could imagine seeing loitering around in prohibition-era America. Pictured is the diva, while there is also the likes of the poet, the cabaret girl, the gypsy and the sailor. There's even a card called Minelli. The illustrations enhance the 1920s/30s feel of the characters.

Perfect for the loveable rogues in your life, each card costs £2.

Beck

Not content with producing a reissue in black and orange, Adidas has produced another reissue of the classic Adidas Beckenbauer trainers, this time with a white and light blue finish.

Nothing much else has changed though, this is still the famous all-round football and training shoe from 1982, inspired, as the name suggests, by the German football legend. In terms of detail, there's a soft leather upper, high impact training outsole, suede toe detailing and the light blue contrast accents.

Innermost Jeeves and Wooster pendant lights discounted at Achica

Posted: 18 Jan 2011 12:51 AM PST

Jeeves

We actually featured these back in 2007, but the price of the Innermost Jeeves and Wooster pendant lights was a lot more than being charged right now at Achica.

In fact, in that original post, we had a price of £415 for the pair, whereas right now, for the next couple of days anyway, you can pick up both the bowler hat and the top hat for just £99 each. For that you get a Jake Phipps design that's made by hand from wool felt, then reinforced with an aluminium lining in a silver or gold finish (depending on the classic hat you opt for).

As we said, both are on offer for just two days or until they sell out, so if you're keen, don't hang about. Also note that Achica is a registration site (if you are not yet a member), although signing up is both free and quick.
