Cheryl Cole On the X Factor Video | Judge & Mentor Performs New Song ‘Promise This’

Posted: 26 Oct 2010 11:01 AM PDT

Cheryl Cole moved out from behind the judges’ desk to perform new single Promise This on The X Factor at the weekend. It’s just a shame she had to mime her way through most of it.

I’ve watched this video several times and am convinced Cole mimed all but a small portion of Promise This in the middle of the song, The rest was mimed, even though the contestants aren’t allowed to mime during their performances.

The whole performance is also alleged to have been recorded in advance in case Cole messed up. Another luxury not afforded the contestants themselves.

On top of all that, the song is crap. Maybe Cole should stick to her day job of TV presenting. Oh wait, she sucks at that as well. She could always marry a footballer… Oops.

Firesheep Demonstration Video | New Firefox Add-on Allows Hacking Over Unsecured Wi-Fi

Posted: 26 Oct 2010 05:01 AM PDT

Holy cow, this is bad. For those who regularly use Wi-Fi hotspots, there is a new risk to your personal data on the loose. Its name is Firesheep.

More and more of us are using the Web on a daily basis, and many of us use public Wi-Fi hotspots to do so while we’re out and about. The problem is that many of these are unsecured and therefore unsafe.

However, while it’s never been safe to do online banking or shopping over such a network, it’s now also not recommended that you sign into social networking sites either, as a new Firefox add-on could expose you and your account to nefarious people.

This is thanks to Firesheep, a tool released over the weekend that enables anyone to become a hacker of sorts. Once installed people can remotely log in to your account on a number of sites, including Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, and WordPress, if you access them via an unsecured network.

The advice is not to use an unsecured network, and if you have to then don’t use any sites that require a login.

Funny Zach Galifianakis Interview (Video) | Gets A Taste Of His Own Medicine

In order to promote his new movie Due Date, the former Hangover star Zack Galifianakis is currently doing tons of promo interviews.

This one in particular stands out because the person giving the interview actually imitates Zack’s awkward comedy style down to a tee. If Zack were to interview himself it would probably go a lot like this.

The man sitting across from Zack is Gordon Keith from Channel 8 in Texas- and he’s obviously watched quite a few episodes of “Between The Two Ferns.” Of course, rather than Zack berating another celebrity, he is actually the one being pranked.

My favorite part of the interview has to be the ending where Gordon abruptly ends the interview right before “the most important question.” I really hope these two do another interview!

Watch Bikini Lawn Care Service News Video | Sexy Ladies Mow Sexy Lawns

Natalie Shepherd’s Bikini Lawn Service has really taken off, but what do the neighbors think of her mowing lawns in her bikini?

I think it doesn’t really matter what they think because guys have been mowing lawns without their shirts on for a lot longer than this business has been running.

I can understand why this made the news, but at the same time… really? Is it really that spectacular because a hot woman is doing it instead of a guy?

Well, I guess so. And good on her. At least she’s thinking creatively to make a dollar and keep her business going.

Watch Taylor Swift ‘Speak Now’ Album Track List Announced Celebrity News Video

With tracks like ‘Mine’, ‘Sparks Fly’, ‘Back to December’ and ‘Speak Now’, Taylor Swift’s latest album promises to have a lot of personality and personal moments.

While ‘Swifty’ has made the news plenty of times in the past, now the gossip is all about her album. It’s being reported that all the songs are about people in her life – either their stories or Taylor’s stories with them.

With such a strong sentiment for the entire album, it’s no wonder people are scrambling to find out who the songs are really about.

Swift isn’t all that shy, though, and explains the meaning and people behind her songs to various media venues.

Shoes Thrown at Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard | Ex-PM Attacked on Television Q&A Program

He might not be Australia’s leader anymore, but former Prime Minister John Howard is still in the firing line. A protester expressed his disgust with the ex-leader by throwing his shoes at him during an appearance on the Australian Q&A television program.

The protester was disgruntled with Australia’s role in the Iraq War, and expressed his displeasure in the same way the Iraqi journalist did with George Bush a couple of years ago.

His approach may not be novel, but it certainly got attention. Now if only he was a better aim Howard might not have been so amused!
