Apple iPad Tear-Down Video | Tablet Taken Apart, Put Back Together In Stop-Motion Posted: 23 Apr 2010 09:03 AM PDT The Apple iPad is a fantastic piece of kit, but have you ever wondered what it looks like inside? How it all works? Here’s your chance to find out, with an iPad tear-down and reassembly. It’s all done in style, with stop-motion animation being used to add a little intrigue to the whole thing.
I’m actually pretty amazed how little goes into the iPad. Once the back has been taken off you can see that the screen is wafer-thin, that the components are small and tightly packed, and that most of the space is taken up by the battery. Apple is renowned for its design sensibilities, and the reasons why can clearly be seen in the iPad. For what the tablet device is capable of, there’s really not much to it. And that’s all down to Steve Jobs and co. |
Darling Telugu Movie Trailer Video | Bollywood Film Starring Prabhas & Agarwal Posted: 23 Apr 2010 06:32 AM PDT I’m no expert on Bollywood movies, believe me. But i can see that this particular one, Darling Telugu, is going to be a huge success. Mainly because everyone and their mothers are searching for the movie on the Web.
Darling Telugu stars Prabhas and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles, ably assisted by Tamil actors Prabhu and Shraddha Das. The whole thing is directed by A. Karunakaran, known for his romantic movies. I don’t know about you but the song in the trailer sounds a lot like the Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow to me. Imitation may be regarded as the sincerest form of flattery, but that won’t deter the copyright lawyers from pouncing. Darling Telugu is out today (April 23) in India. And while it may not be my thing exactly, it will surely be a smash hit. |
Posted: 22 Apr 2010 10:25 PM PDT When Melbourne Storm moved into AFL heartland and won three minor premierships and two grand finals it seemed like a win for rugby league. Little did we know, the Victorian team cheated to get there. Full points to the NRL who have acted decisively, stripping the team of their titles, ordering them to pay back their prize money, and revoking the team's right to earn points in this competition season. But now I wonder, what happens next? How deep-seated is this corruption? Who exactly knew it was going on? And most importantly, can this team survive after deceiving its fans and sponsors? |
Watch Funny Indian Stand Up Comedian Russell Peters (Video) | Full Length Special Posted: 22 Apr 2010 07:14 PM PDT In a world of political correctness gone wild, comedian Russell Peters pulls no punches when he makes fun of his own country as well as many others. I have seen a few Indian comics, but none of them have taken the piss out of their own culture like this guy. I love it when he does impressions of his parents, especially when talking about how his father is so cheap. Good stuff. It is always nice when you can take a laugh at yourself. Yes, he’s making fun of people in a so-called ‘racist’ way, but people really need to get over themselves. As long as it’s not done in anger, it’s all good. |
Posted: 22 Apr 2010 06:30 PM PDT The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have once again crossed the line with their show. But should they be in fear for their lives? South Park isn’t exactly known for moderation and consideration when it comes to featuring anyone in their show, but they may have bitten off more than they can chew with this one. Personally, I think it’s quite a funny play on things to have him in a bear suit, but I’m not Islamic either… I am curious to see if Parker and Stone will have any sort of response to this or if they will keep on with work as usual. |
