Dell Streak Video | Computer Manufacturer Officially Unveils Tablet – iPad Competitor

Posted: 25 May 2010 08:33 AM PDT

The new tablet market is starting to get a little more populated with products. All of which are hoping to compete with, and sell as many units as, the Apple iPad.

It’s been known for quite a while that Dell was busy working on a tablet. And it’s now officially unveiled its Dell Streak device to the general public. It looks great, but very different to the iPad. Which may be a good thing.

There are a few differences between the Dell Streak and the iPad. The Streak can make phone calls, and has a camera, but the screen is only half the size. Which means it’ll likely appeal to different people than the iPad does.

It’s good to see the iPad getting some competition, and it’s good that we’re not just seeing clones of that device. Variety is surely the spice of life, so I’d like to see tablets released to appeal to all the different types of consumers.

Future Boxing Champ Video | Should A Kid Really Be Taught To Fight At This Young Age?

Posted: 24 May 2010 01:16 PM PDT

This video shows a guy teaching a young kid, probably his son, probably about five-years-old, to box.

The video has clearly been edited to make the kid look faster, but that isn’t the main issue I have with it.

Is it really the done thing to teach a kid to box at such a young and impressionable age?

Sure, he’ll probably grow up being able to defend himself, and bullies won’t stand a chance. But what if the kid is the one who ends up aggressive and bullying?

Hopefully this guy is a responsible teacher, and parent if that is indeed what he is to this young kid.

But there’s always a chance he isn’t, or that the kid is pre-destined to be a handful. And teaching him boxing could be a bad thing.
