Birthday Cake Fail Video | Upset Little Girl!

Posted: 21 Aug 2010 12:03 PM PDT

When you’re celebrating the birthday of a little girl, it’s never a good idea to drop the cake. If you do, then you should expect this sort of response.

I’m now too old to enjoy birthdays. Once you hit 30 every birthday is at best just another day, and at worst a step nearer the grave. So I’d rather they just passed by without any fuss.

However, when you’re a kid every birthday is a big deal, and you want to mark the occasion with lots of presents, lots of friends, a big party, and most importantly a big cake to eat too much of.

Unfortunately, when you have careless, uncoordinated parents, mishaps can happen. Which means the cake may end up all over the table in front of you rather than in your tummy. Cue crying and screaming!

Watch Funny George Carlin on Little Things We All Have in Common Video

Posted: 21 Aug 2010 08:07 AM PDT

As much as we often focus on all the things we have about us that are different from the next person, there are so many little things that we have in common…

George Carlin, RIP, is one of my favourite stand up comedians, hands down. His dry humour way of looking at life was and always will be brilliant.

This time, he has a point – like usual.

Even if you haven’t experienced all the things he mentions here, it’s very likely you have experienced at least one.

Personally, I often walk into a room and forget exactly why I went in there at all…

Jennifer Aniston Says “Retard” Video | Star Of The Switch Drops Clanger On Regis & Kelly

Posted: 21 Aug 2010 07:38 AM PDT

Another day, another celebrity suffers from foot-in-mouth disease. This time the culprit, or victim depending on how you view the incident, is Jennifer Aniston, berated for using the word “retard” in an interview with Regis and Kelly.

Aniston was discussing her new movie, The Switch, when the conversation changed to her dressing up. She described doing it for a living as “like a retard.”

Clearly this was a stupid thing to say, but it was an unfortunate slip of the tongue rather than a purposely offensive statement directed at the mentally disabled. Which means there is a vast difference between this and Dr. Laura using the N word repeatedly.

Aniston should not be getting the abuse she is over this. She made a mistake, which I’m sure she regrets given the outcry. But that’s it. There’s certainly no need to hold an inquest about what she inadvertently said.

Cute VeggieTales Music Video | Funny BellyButton Song Parodies Boy Bands

If this song doesn’t put a smile on your face, you probably have no soul.

We may no longer be 8-years old, but the VeggieTales’ creators seem to still be putting out quality stuff.

I’d rather have today’s kids watching something like this than brainless Hannah Montana episodes. Sure, VeggieTales has religious themes in it’s format, still, even an atheist such as myself can appreciate the humor and storytelling.

I remember growing up in the 90’s and watching VeggieTales when it first came out. It’s been years and my old nostalgic self was tempted to find out of the show was as good as I remembered- it seems like I was right!

Beautiful Animated Love Story Video | Real-Life Romance of Danny and Annie

Posted: 20 Aug 2010 04:59 PM PDT

This incredibly moving animated video tells the story of real life loves, Annie and Danny. She is a nurse and he is a horse betting clerk. They live in Brooklyn, New York, and are hopelessly in love.

But when Danny becomes ill, the cartoon takes a more somber tone. Yet even in the most trying of circumstances, we never question their love. This is the “in sickness and in health” stuff we all say in our wedding vows suddenly realized.

The ending is just as devastating as we inevitably knew it would be. I wiped back tears as I watched it, but it was a bittersweet sadness. Love on earth might not last forever, but love like this can never die.

The Last Exorcism Promo Video | Lionsgate Use Chatroulette For Viral Video Marekting

Posted: 20 Aug 2010 01:49 PM PDT

This video is brilliant, because it’s both scary yet funny at the same time.

It shows how the people responsible for marketing The Last Exorcism in the U.S. utilized Chatroulette to create a viral video hit which will zoom around the Web getting tons of viewers. And it is clearly working.

Chatroulette is a site which offers video chat between absolute strangers. It’s been hurt by too many people exposing themselves on there, but this video shows what can be done with the site.

If I’d have been a victim of this prank then I’d have absolutely pissed my pants through fear. Watching it on YouTube after the event was enough to give me a tingle down my spine.

Will it make me go and see The Last Exorcism? No, but I do at least know of the film now as a direct result. And I’d never heard of it before today.
