Watch Full Trailer for AMC Adaptation of Walking Dead Video | Zombie Time Posted: 29 Aug 2010 08:26 AM PDT AMC is adapting the black and white American comic book series Walking Dead into a television series, and this is your first glimpse of the full trailer. Walking Dead features Rick Grimes, a police officer from the small town of Cynthiana, Kentucky and his family. As they try to survive, they meet up with a number of other survivors who have banded together after the world is overrun with zombies. There are different sorts of zombies with different strategies for getting their human prey, which makes for an even more challenging time for the survivors. All up, I am looking forward to this series… if it comes to Australia. |
Lawrence Of Arabia Video | Theatrical Trailer Of Classic 1962 Film Starring Peter O’Toole Posted: 29 Aug 2010 06:39 AM PDT Lawrence of Arabia is an absolutely classic film that deserves to be seen by all. Sure, it looks dated now, but that doesn’t detract from the cinematography or brilliant acting on display.
This is the original theatrical trailer from 1962, and it should give you a good idea whether you want to watch the whole thing. Lawrence of Arabia is an epic adventure film in the truest sense of the word. Lawrence of Arabia is in the news once again not only for the film but also because of new revelations as to some of Thomas Edward Lawrence’s exploits during World War I. The revelations concerning so-called ‘X-Flights’ have come from James Hynes, who discovered the diaries of his cousin’s father; a man who served with Lawrence during the campaign against the Turks of the Ottoman Empire. |
Watch Awesome ‘Legacy of Letters’ Live Calligraphy Video | Beautiful Words as Art Posted: 28 Aug 2010 08:15 PM PDT Words become art in this beautiful live demonstration of calligraphy. Wow. Now that is very impressive. When I was a teenager, I became very interested in calligraphy. It got to the point I was writing the names on awards certificates. Sadly, I had neither the equipment nor the teacher to help get me to anywhere near that kind of level. That’s beautiful. Some people commented that other people can do the same quality faster, but I’m glad he did it at the speed he did. I like being able to watch all the individual strokes he made to create the single piece of art. |
Wheelie Bin Cat Revenge Video | Mary Bale Gets Fitting Punishment From Feline Friend Posted: 28 Aug 2010 03:38 PM PDT Last week the biggest news, or so it seemed, in the UK was video footage of a middle-aged woman dumping a neighbor’s cat in a wheelie bin for absolutely no reason. This video shows the cat getting its own back on the woman, who has since been revealed as Mary Bale. That’s what I call sweet revenge.
When this happened, I suggested a suitable punishment would be to dump the woman in a wheelie bin and leave her there for 15 hours, which is how long the cat had to endure before being rescued. It seems the cat was listening, or at least a bloke dressed up like a cat was. This is funny but it would actually be funnier if it was real. Not the cat dumping Bale in a bin, because it would struggle, but the owners doing so, and having the cat there watching. Please, someone video it. |
Funny Gay Rights Protest Signs Video | Inspirational Equality Movement Posted: 28 Aug 2010 03:32 PM PDT The Western world has come a long way towards equality. Women can own land, and black people can vote. But still gay folks cannot marry. It’s easy to get angry at the inequalities, but perhaps it’s more effective to laugh about the situation. No matter what side of the issue you stand on, this video will make you think, and perhaps make you chuckle at the same time. |
