Epic Beard Man Interview Video | Internet Celeb Thomas Bruso Talks Us Through Fight

Posted: 20 Feb 2010 10:06 AM PST

Epic Beard Man has become something of an Internet celebrity after a couple of videos featuring this Vietnam veteran hit the Web. One was of him being tasered at a baseball game, and the other showed him beating a black guy up on a bus.

Rather than let his mystery make him, someone managed to track Epic Beard Man (real name Thomas Bruso) down and interview him about the bus fight and his life and views in general.

As I thought at the time of watching the video, Epic Beard Man was the one in the right. He didn’t start the aggravation but he sure as hell finished it; by knocking the other guy the fuck out.

Epic Beard Man is still epic, but he has lost some of his inherent appeal by having been revealed as just a cranky old guy willing to kick ass. But at least we know the truth (at least from his point of view) about that fight.

Skeleton Olympics 2010 Video | Amy Williams Wins Gold For Great Britain In Bob Skeleton

Posted: 20 Feb 2010 05:05 AM PST

I was hoping to embed the video of Williams’ winning run but it’s nowhere to be seen online as the IOC (International Olympic Committee) are insisting all footage be removed. How pathetic.

It doesn’t matter though as instead we get to hear Amy Williams speak to reporters after her gold medal victory in the bob skeleton event at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Williams’ accomplishment cannot be overstated. Britain just doesn’t win gold medals at the Winter Olympics. This is the first we’ve won in an individual sport since Robin Cousins won the figure skating in 1980. And it’s also the first individual gold medal in any sport other than figure skating.

I love Amy Williams. She’s hot, she’s intelligent, and she’s very fast at sliding down the ice on her tummy. What more can one ask for in a lady?

Monty Python ‘Freedom of Speech’ Video | Sarcastic Song Against Political Correctness

Here’s a very interesting typography video set to a song from Monty Python. It’s about freedom of speech or racial slurs, depending on your point of view.

I always admired Monty Python for their witty humor. There’s a reason universities examine their films for political metaphors. Not only is this funny, but it’s smart.

I can see how some people offended by “vulgar” language would deem this as inappropriate, but, of course, they aren’t the audience for this type of message. Who knew that even decades after Monty Python, we’d still be living in a world of severe political correctness.
