Imminent Faceplant Video | You Know It’s Going To End Badly & Painfully, But When?

Posted: 19 Feb 2010 09:18 AM PST

This video is a strange one as it isn’t all that exciting. Instead, it’s all about the anticipation; waiting for the inevitable to occur.

I can reveal that the guy definitely messes his stunt up, falls over the desk, and ends up planting his face in the floor. But the question is when? You’ll just have to watch to find out.

Why did the guy even do this? It’s not as though the original stunt is anything astounding. I could leap the same height furniture and I’m old and overweight, so what did the guy think would happen? Internet stardom? Girls throwing themselves at him?

In the end he’s become known as the guy who didn’t know when to stop. He just kept on trying to leap those tables like a douchebag until the incident we all expected to occur and were all hopeful would occur, did. What a twat.

What Would Brian Boitano Do? Video | South Park Movie Song For Winter Olympic Skater

Posted: 19 Feb 2010 04:17 AM PST

I’ll be honest and admit I didn’t have a clue who Brian Boitano was when I watched South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. But now I do, as he’s back in the public eye with the Winter Olympics currently taking place in Canada.

So what better opportunity will there ever be than this to break out his own personal song, What Would Brian Boitano Do?

It turns out Brian Boitano was a figure skater who won gold at the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988. I never knew that as I’m not American (so don’t really give a crap), and I’m not a big fan of figure skating (because it IS crap).

Boitano is back in town to watch and be interviewed for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The problem is no one has yet had the courage to ask him, What would Brian Boitano do? Come on people, do it for a giggle!

Cool Stop-Motion Animation Video | Mozart Gets Stop-Motion Makeover

Posted: 18 Feb 2010 10:41 PM PST

I’ve seen many stop-motion videos online, and many amazing guitar performances, but never before have I seen the two combined.

The most obvious question is “Why?” This video took more than 1000 cuts, six hours of guitar tabbing, one hour of shooting, and goodness knows how much time to edit. In short, it took a whole lot of work.

Clearly the novelty factor is key here. Plenty of folks play Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro” on their classical acoustic guitar, and I’m sure most of those attempting such a difficult piece play it well. But how many of them do you want to show to your friends?

Amazing World Record Stick Bomb Video | Thousands of Tongue Depressers Go Flying

Posted: 18 Feb 2010 03:59 PM PST

This video shows us that you don’t have to be the fastest, the smartest, or the most talented to break a world record. You just need to do something really, really cool.

Before watching this video I’d never heard of a stick bomb, nor had any idea creating one on a grand scale was a record-worthy feat.

This particular stick bomb features 2250 tongue depressers. I love the way it twists and turns, with the sticks amazingly staying still until the exact moment they need to fly. It’s almost like a Mexican wave with sticks.

I can’t imagine having the patience to set something like this up, but I love that I can watch the efforts of someone else!

Joe Stack’s Plane Crash Into Austin IRS Building (Video) | Suicide Letter Reveals Money Problems

Posted: 18 Feb 2010 02:41 PM PST

On paper, it looks like America is coming out if it’s depression, but sadly this can’t be said for some people. Earlier today Joe Stack crashed a plane into the IRS building because of his hate for corporate corruption and taxes.

“Well Mr. Big Brother…take my pound of flesh,” he wrote in his suicide note.

I can almost sympathize with a man like Joe Stacks. I know many people like him who’ve lost their jobs and retirement savings and have almost no hope of ever recovering them. But to kill other people to prove a point is merely cowardly.

Above you can see the excerpts from his suicide letter which detailed his reasons for doing the crime. Obviously, the man was at a fragile point in his life by choosing words like, “It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country…violence…is the only answer.”
