9/11 News Video | Many Twin Towers First Responders Have Become Victims As Well Posted: 11 Sep 2010 04:55 AM PDT Today is September 11, 2010, the ninth anniversary of what has become known as 9/11. It was on this day nine years ago, in 2001, that two hijacked planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York. Almost 3,000 people died on that day as a direct result of the terrorist plot. But it appears many more have died since.
According to this new report on Russia Today, up to 900 of those people who arrived on the scene in New York to help have died since, with many almost certainly having succumbed to health issues directly related to what they experienced on 9/11. If true then this means the 9/11 death toll continues to climb every year, so we have more people to mourn as each September 11 passes by. This is truly shocking and really brings it home how disgusting this plot to kill as many people as possible was. Unfortunately, it seems to have succeeded rather well… whoever you think is responsible. |
Watch Awesome Real Money Tree Video | $1 Bills Hanging From Branches Posted: 10 Sep 2010 06:36 PM PDT What would happen if you hung one hundred $1 bills from a tree? What would people do? I found this video to be strangely intriguing and depressing at the same time. What a fun experiment, but why did so many people just walk by? I’m shocked at how many people didn’t even appear to notice. I suspect that most of the people don’t think that the money is real, but are we really afraid to stop even if it might not be real? I wish we had more creative minds like this in the world. The people who think to make the money tree in the first place just to see what will happen. |
Watch Full Fashion’s Night Out 2010 Show Webcast Video Posted: 10 Sep 2010 06:09 PM PDT The biggest fashion show ever in New York city is on, with Fashion’s Night Out 2010 presented by Vogue in full swing. This fashion show and other festival events are meant to make shoppers feel better about shopping and buying after the industry took a dive during the recession. Opening their doors to retailers and fashion moguls from both the US and around the world, there are events happening even outside of New York. Whether the opportunity to mingle with the great names of fashion will prove to being a buying incentive remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a push in the right direction. |
Happy Dancing in Grocery Store Video | Scissor Sisters Liven Up Supermarket Trip Posted: 10 Sep 2010 04:05 PM PDT Grocery shopping is a necessary evil. No one really likes to do it, except perhaps this guy. With its pumping Scissor Sisters soundtrack and unselfconscious dance moves, it’s impossible to dislike this video. It’s the most delicious kind of nutty from a man who refuses to live inside the box. Of course, it doesn’t seem like the most time efficient way to grocery shop as he only ends up with a few items of fresh produce at the end, but it does look like a lot of fun! |
Jumping Otters Video | Excited Zoo Animals Posted: 10 Sep 2010 12:54 PM PDT If anyone know what these otters are on then please let me know. Because I want some of what they’ve had.
This video shows a group of otters at Chester Zoo in England dancing around like they’re at a club and have had one too many ecstasy tablets. Probably. I’m guessing there is someone standing the other side of the wall teasing them with a handful of food. Or maybe eating their lunch. Either way, the otters dance around and squeak as if they’re drugged up to the eyeballs. I’ve tried drinking copious amounts of alcohol, and doing some other stuff to give me a buzz. But maybe I’ve been missing a trick all this time. All I needed to do was jump around squeaking while hungry. Sorted. |
