McDonald’s Shrek Glass Recall Video | Fast Food Giant Poisoning Kids With Cadmium

Posted: 04 Jun 2010 07:46 AM PDT

If you’ve bought one of the millions of promotional Shrek Forever After glasses at McDonald’s recently then you need to stop using it and return it to the fast food chain immediately.

I think McDonald’s generally gets an overly unfair press. It’s a business like any other, and they only sell what people want to eat. Sure, it’s bad for you, but no one is standing there pointing a gun at your head insisting you chomp on a Big Mac.

However, there’s no excuse this time, as they’ve been caught selling painted glasses which contain cadmium, a known toxic substance which is no longer used for anything which comes into contact with humans.

12 million of these glasses were produced, and 7 million of those have already been sold to customers at $2-a-pop. And no, they weren’t made in China, but the good ol’ U.S. of A.

Funny Ozzy Osbourne Video | Pranks Fans For New Album Promo

In order to promote Ozzy’s new album titled “Scream” that comes out this month, he played a pretty scary prank on his unsuspecting fans.

The footage is a compilation of a day-long prank in which Ozzy spent his afternoon at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York pretending to be a wax statue. The responses he gets when his fans find out it’s the real him are pretty hilarious!

Ozzy really does scare “the shit” out of some of these folks. The best one would have to be the scare with the little girl who comments on how “realistic” his arm hair is. Most of the time it’s the females that are shocked the most, but there’s always a guy in a scene who’d probably be just as scared if he were that close.

I don’t know about you but I’d be pretty happy if this prank was pulled on me. Paying to see wax-statues and then seeing the real-deal is like a dream come true. I wish more celebrities did this type of thing.

Shopping Mayhem Video | Crowd Of Bargain Hunters Rush Store To Beat The Queues

I truly believe I’ve seen both the best and worst humanity has to offer since regularly watching and writing about YouTube videos on the Web.

This video shows the worst of humanity, where greed and materialism wins out over civility.

The location is an electronics store in Portugal where there were bargains to be had. We’re talking cheap big-screen TVs and Blu-ray players here. And that is enough for people to forget about personal safety for a couple of hours.

The crowd outside effectively wages war on the door, knowing it (and the poor staff backing it up) is all that stands between them and some cheap electrical goods.

50 people ended up getting injured, with one elderly woman eventually dying in hospital from her injuries. Which was clearly worth a few selfish people saving a couple of hundred dollars on a new TV set.

This is a good reminder that humans are, whether you like it or not, still animals at heart.
