Seletti Emisphera 1960s-style hanging chair discounted at Achica Posted: 11 Feb 2011 07:52 AM PST Ideal for the outdoors in the summer months, the Seletti Emisphera hanging chair is also good for using in the house in the winter months too. This 60s-style seat is completely hand woven and 'hovers' in the air thanks to the hanging chain provided. Sadly the cushion isn't, but you'll find one  of those easy enough. It originally retailed for £1,150, but right now it's on Achica for £560. At least, it is for the next two and a half days. Note you'll have to register (for free) to view and buy from Achica. eBay watch: Arkana Tulip dining table Posted: 11 Feb 2011 07:20 AM PST If you're on the look out for a 'new' dining table for your home, check out this Arkana Tulip dining table, which is currently on eBay. Based on the Eero Saarinen design, this one was the work of Maurice Burke for Arkana a few years after. After all these years, it's still a space age classic and a very stylish item in its own right. This example ha a circular laminated plywood top with white laminate finish, sat on a white-coated metal base. It's sized around 120cm diameter and 73cm high, good for seating four people. Condition is described as 'excellent' and the price right now is £2.20. Find out more at the eBay website

Vintage Textile Patterns from Vitrine Posted: 11 Feb 2011 05:38 AM PST If you're a lover of pattern and colour, you're sure to find something you like from the selection of vintage textile patterns available from Vitrine. The owner of Vitrine, Blaine Dessent-Owner, came across a collection of drawings, paintings and collages belonging to a textile company in Lyon that went out of business in the late 80s. Each piece was made by hand and depicts a different textile design once produced by the company and includes everything for all design tastes ranging from bold geometrics to pretty florals.  The prices for the pieces range from $85 to $90.  See them online

The Art of Being a Well-Dressed Wife by Anne Fogarty Posted: 11 Feb 2011 05:29 AM PST Looking for some authentic 1950s fashion advice? You may want to pick up a copy of The Art of Being A Well Dressed Wife which was written in 1959 by American fashion design Anne Fogarty. The book is being reprinted by the V&A as part of their series of retro style guides which also features works by the likes of Dior, Hardy Amies and Edith Head. It details what to wear on every occasion, from travelling to entertaining to sporting events - even how to match your car to your outfit! Adidas London City Series trainers get new blue suede finish Posted: 11 Feb 2011 12:27 AM PST Once a rarity from the Adidas archive, then reissued as a limited edition as part of the City Series reissue program, the Adidas London trainers have now appeared in at least five different colour options, with the latest being this blue suede finish. The shape is as you expect, a slimline, fairly low shoe with perforated tongue and contrasting slim gum sole, with the London lettering in gold. The difference here is that colour, a blue suede upper, with contrasting blue detailing for the stripes and heel. Limited numbers, they're priced at £56.99.
