Fans of the classic Planet of the Apes films have had a lot to be happy about since BOOM! Studios launched their retro comic book series exploring the post-apocalyptic world under simian rule. The series has enjoyed rave reviews and it looks like there's more to come.

It's interesting to see all of these classic properties (such as Bionic Man, Godzilla, and the Lone Ranger) getting dusted off and represented in ongoing comics. While 'Hollywood' has a spotty record with such projects, the comic book industry seems to have better luck with these concepts.

More as it comes...
