The Wizard Of Oz Video | How The Wizard Of Oz Should Have Ended – Shoot The Witch! Posted: 12 Aug 2010 11:33 AM PDT The Wizard Of Oz is 71-years-old today, with the classic film making its debut on Aug. 12, 1939. Its big Hollywood premiere happened three days later, on Aug. 15. To celebrate this anniversary, Google has changed its logo with a Google Doodle commemorating the movie starring Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, and Jack Haley.
This video doesn’t actually have anything to do with the official film or cast. Instead, it’s another of those excellent ‘How … Should Have Ended’ parody clips. The video makes a fair point. With one witch killed by a house landing on her, why not try and shoot the other in the head? It’s not like everyone is short of guns or anything. Thought The Wizard Of Oz couldn’t be improved upon? Think again. |
Howard Stern Saves Suicide Jumper (Video) | The Power Of Intelligent Radio Posted: 11 Aug 2010 09:09 PM PDT Those of you familiar with Howard Stern may know the radio king for his numerous phone pranks and celebrity interviews. What most people don’t know is that Stern actually helped talk down a suicide jumper back in 1994. You can hear the first part of the amazing clip above and the rest below… Furthermore, the Mayor of New York City even commended Stern for his work. As it turns out, the man who he talked down was a cocaine user. Part 2 |
Watch Strippers Get Revenge on Judgmental Church Harassment Video Posted: 11 Aug 2010 06:57 PM PDT Strippers and patrons of The Fox Hole have grown sick of church protesters and turned the tables by sitting outside the church services. Ugh. These people who think the world is nothing but black and white annoy me to no end. The world is made of shades of grey. That any human being could still not understand that is almost beyond belief. I find it funny that the strippers have more sympathy and insight into the real world than the preacher does. So much for forgiveness, eh? Anyway, I’ll be curious to see how – if ever – this thing is settled. |
Watch The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone Book Video | Eco-Friendly and Healthy Eating Posted: 11 Aug 2010 06:35 PM PDT Alicia Silverstone sits down for a talk about her book The Kind Diet, focusing on eating in a way that is not only good for you but good for the world. I imagine these kind of diets are the ones that make farmers a little nervous, eh? Kudos to vegetarians. Personally, I reckon that we have the sharp carnivore teeth and the flat herbivore teeth because we’re built to eat both. Then again, anything that gets people to actually think about the stuff they are putting in their mouth can’t be all bad. I’d be curious to know what you think if you have tried this diet or if you are a vegetarian. |
Playful Cat In Slow Motion Video | Japanese Cat Seen Jumping In & Out Of Box In Slo-Mo Posted: 11 Aug 2010 12:51 PM PDT What is it with cats and boxes? You can buy your feline friend all the expensive toys you want to but, at the end of the day, they’re much more likely to be happy messing about with an empty cardboard box big enough for them to fit in to.
We’ve seen Japanese cats playing with boxes before. And they’re cute, very cute, mainly because Japanese cats have a particular look about them, and a particular temperament as well. The difference with this video is that it shows a Japanese cat leaping around, in and out of a box, and playing, all in slow motion. Which truly shows off how the cat’s body works when it’s moving. It actually doesn’t matter what speed we see cats playing in though, as they always end up looking lovable. So much so that I’d love to take this one home for a cuddle. I don’t think my own cat would take too kindly to that though. |
