Crossing Flooded Street Fail Video | Why You Shouldn’t Ignore A Rushing Torrent Of Water Posted: 11 Feb 2010 08:50 AM PST I was tempted to throw this in the ‘Extreme Sports‘ category as the woman crossing the street is clearly in search of an adrenaline rush. Instead, all she ends up with is a sore head and no shopping.
I seem to be continually asking this question on WebTVHub: Why are people so stupid? It doesn’t matter if there life is at risk, they still do these things that any outsider can surely see is stupid. This video shows a flooded street where a rushing torrent of water is heading down the road. But this woman wants to get home with her shopping and no amount of water is going to stop her trying. She was unfortunate to have slipped at the moment she did as it meant she banged straight into the nearest lamppost. Broken nose time for sure. And she also loses the groceries she’s just bought. Which is what I’d call a Fail. |
Mystery Of The Mothman Video | Short Documentary Investigating Mythical Creature Posted: 11 Feb 2010 03:25 AM PST The Mothman is a mythical creature (although some would dispute the mythical description) which showed up in West Virginia in the late-1960s, supposedly. This video is a short documentary looking at the creature and some of the sightings of it. You may not believe the creature is real after watching this clip but you will at least have a better idea of what the Mothman is.
The first recorded sighting on Mothman happened in 1966, although it was known as Big Bird at the time. There were further sightings over the next few months, ending in 1967. What is the Mothman? Some think it was a hoax, some think it was part of a conspiracy. Others believe it was a misidentified bird, while others still put it down to parapsychology. In essence, no one has a clue. So it’s just like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster in the regard. |
Amazing Student Art Project (Video) | 2100 Page Flip Book Tells ‘History Of Everything’ Posted: 11 Feb 2010 12:16 AM PST Here’s an amazing student art project that took 3 weeks to make. The 17 year-old artist wanted to make a 2100 page flip-book that told “the story of everything.” The concept sounds just as crazy as it looks. Obviously, he got an ‘A’ on this. Clearly, some very hard work went into this effort and, if you ask me, this student deserves all the views he gets. For those of who might be critical about not including some important events, I suggest you re-watch the “This Is Sparta” segment. That’s pretty much all the history you need to know. |
Funny New Muppets Video | Musical Beaker Gets Burned Online Posted: 10 Feb 2010 10:48 PM PST The Muppets have brought us another new video, courtesy of YouTube. Here long-suffering musician Beaker feels the wrath of the internet. Beaker’s infernal squeaking has never been easy on the ear, so it’s not surprising that the complaints start rolling in. The clearly troubled Muppet persists, but mayhem ensues when fire breaks out. This turn of events seems much more popular with the internet crowd, who start to root for the forces of Mother Nature. I can’t imagine this becoming as popular as the awesome “Bohemian Rhapsody” cover, but anything Muppets-related is always worth a peek. |
Cool Celluon Infared Virtual Keyboard | Touchable Projection As Seen At CES 2010 Posted: 10 Feb 2010 08:40 PM PST Just in case you forgot we were living in the the year 2010, here’s a video of a new infared keyboard that will blow your mind. I don’t know how it works, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it in a sci-fi movie before. $199 is a little pricey now, however, I could see these babies being under $40 and available everywhere in a couple of years. |
